Putting my call in now for the 2019 spike, going to pick up a bit more to increase skin in the game.
-> Invest at your own risk & prepare for any loss which may result
The top to bottom ratios for previous major spikes in btc have been roughly a x17.5 (these numbers shift within only a few tenths of each other throughout the history) to top and 5.2 multiplier for bottom. 2017 spike was roughly x80 but the bottom still held firm at x5 range. At the average x15 multiplier the price would be roughly $50k from previous low and with a radical (x) similar to the past the price could go as high as $165k on a x50 multiplier of the previous low. edit: a $50k top would also mean the new future bottom of around ~$10k
Logarithmic chart patterns also follow this as someone previously posted.
Follow the chart from inception to present riding each wave:
#1 Simple Bitcoin Price History Chart (Since 2009)
This is the only logarithmic growth stock/commodity/product which maintains some of the previous hike value and continues to build off it as each one draws more attention to the system. The radical trading drives the price up ridiculous, the price maintains some of the value because it is a working product and maintains consistent usage, previous sentiment as well as actual market forces continue driving growth and causing new hikes.
If you want to invest in high risk assets then think like you're in high risk assets, that means high risk volatility. So many times in the past I see bitcoin dive and have either experienced myself or more recently seen the doubt which grows during price drops. This is not a reason to doubt it's to be expected, when it didn't/doesn't occur is the time to be worried.
