(Awesome) AC: Unity trailer scene & Gangs of New York (VERY ALIKE SCENE)

Before you click this thread and click off, don't!

Once I see something, I kind of never forget, my short term memory can be shit (depends on my mood) but my long term memory is quite incredible, I remember things from when I was extremely young (people don't believe me irl).

One of my favorite Game series, Assassin's Creed specifically AC: Unity has an incredible smoke screen that is IDENTICAL to the smoke scene out of Gangs of New York, one of the best (Wolf of Wall Street, Goodfellers, Taxi Driver) directors Martin Scorsese.

I watched Gangs of New York for the first time and when I saw this scene, I was in complete shock, because even the sound of the knife sounds exactly the same out of the AC trailer, you guys are gonna have to see it to believe me.

The camera angles, the smoke, literally it's an exact scene replica, there's no way anyone can tell me this wasn't based from Gangs of New York when the guys @ Digic Pictures (Ubisoft trailer maker) created this.

We see Daniel Day-Lewis as a Assassin. He even does the body bend cut as seen in the AC trailer, fucking cool shit.

The specific scene I'm talking about

The sound of the knife, the mysterious smoke, the camera angels, it's pretty neat.
I have watched and noticed the scenery your talking about. I great classic movie, I love the fact Assassins creed has stepped up there gaming to correlate to some good events.

It's incredibile isn't it, Daniel Day-Lewis is one of the best actors in existence, unbelievable. So awesome that you've seen the movie!
Are AC games actually good? The only one I ever tried was AC 3, and it was one of the worst games I'd ever played. However, I'm also told AC 3 is the worst AC ever made too, so, not sure if I let a fluke chase me away from the series.

I think the best was AC2 imo. It could just be nostalgia but there's one thing I know for certain about the new AC games, they are lacking development it's all reused code.

Must have been high and thought I replied to this.

Yeah I love the AC games, Empire was absolutely incredible, like unreal. They really have stepped it up.
Origins is insane, however the specs required and optimization is very bad.

I think the Ezio era will never be beaten, game companies struggle to capture that raw emotion as they once did, reason = money
