Do blackhats feel like they are good people?

see that's what i mean. For someone else, it will be "Ewhoring is not wrong, i just sell pics to guys and they can buy if they want i'm not forcing them. Cracking is wrong cuz you're technically hacking into someone's else account and selling his data."

this exactly

I'd say ewhoring isn't that immoral. Creepy desperate guys get content they want. Whereas cracking is just random, needless attacks on people.

If they go after mega corporations and are not hurting a single individual I don’t care.
in my opinion a blackhat will always think he is a good person because he does what he is doing for some reason and anything that helps him to achieve that he will do it. it's like cheating in an exam to have good marks.
I think it's easy for people to rationalize their actions no matter how bad and still convince themselves they are good people. That's the only way someone can keep doing that for an extended period of time. It's either living in denial that what you are doing is bad, or knowing it's bad and just not caring. There are also the people that just simply don't realize that what they are doing is bad.

Other people are just impulsive. The feeling of doing blackhat things is like a drug to some people. Maybe afterwards they feel like it wasn't right, but the feeling they get from doing it out paces the will to stop.

Yes, being introspective is a skill that not many people have and not being introspective is why it is so easy for people to justify their actions no matter how terrible.

What justifies someone as a good person from a bad person. It's all just perception, what one person may consider a "good person" another may just as well consider a "bad person". We're all just people and that's the way I think about such matters.

No it is not about your own perception. It is about the perception of the people you interact with. Those are the ones that can tell if you are good or bad.

- don't get caught.

- don't get caught.

- don't get caught.

- dont let the victim know it happened, or how, or who did it.

- don't harm them in anyway, shape, or form. just let it all happen without anyone knowing. even if it is technically hacking them.. you just don't do anything after or steal precious things.

- don't do anything assholly after u did what u did. just keep it to yourself.

- don't speak about what u did.

- you did nothing, you saw nothing, nobody saw anything.

I think that makes me a good person yes. some hackers just do it for pleasure. or "self defense" just in case.

Then proceed to flex on Twitter tagging every major news outlet.

But their perceptions can be different too. For instance, in my circle of friends, psychedelic use is seen as good, and shows the good in people. But in many people of the general public, psychedelic use is seen as taboo and can get you labeled as a bad person. It's all based on perception.

Using drugs is something you do on yourself, others may have an opinion on whether this is healthy or not but they can't say it is bad to them. It doesn't affect them. But when we are talking about stealing, the victim's perception is what matters. If the victim says your actions were harmful to him, how can you say that that's subjective? We are not talking about something that didn't involve him.
I tend to stay away from anything BH. My conscious is a bitch.

But it's all perception. Look at it this way. Imagine if you are very "anti-corporation" (I am not but as an example). You associate with others with the same ideology. So you "social engineer" yourself some stuff at a company's expense. The people "you surround yourself with" all think you're a good person because you're basically making a statement of "down with the corporations". You can't look at it from one point of view and block out the rest of them. There are 2 sides to every story. "Good" and "Bad" only exist because society says they exist, but everyone has different views on everything.

Yeah, I see what you are saying. There is that ideology of anti-corporatism that justifies such actions. But what about people that scam others that are from the same socio-economic background and probably at a worse financial position (for example ebook sellers that sell dreams)? Is it possible to justify this somehow?
