This isn't a leading question. I'm just curious to hear about people who make their money from blackhat activities. Do they feel like they are good people despite the blackhat activities?
If yes, why? How do you justify the morality of blackhat methods to yourself?
I imagine people who get into blackhat it doesn't bother them much in the first place. But I'm sure they still have a sense of morals and ethics just in different ways, aka people they've met in person

The internet seems to act as a filter that allows certain people to break certain moral codes they wouldn't in-person. There's definitely a disconnect online that stops some people seeing internet users as real humans sometimes.

I agree 100%, you can even see this with social media people acting out but in person they'll be totally different. Maybe social media actually has a big thing to do with upcoming blackhats and morals/ethics for people

If they did imo they are greyhats not black - justifying using blackhat money through helping others is still bh though
Some people don't have moral standards. That's why you have plenty of serial killers thinking they are good people. If serial killers think that, I don't see why blackhat hackers wouldn't, too.

It was a blast being on staff. I stepped down as it's time for me to move on. I wish you all the best and if you were hit by my warnings and/or bans, it was nothing personal.
Peace out!

they dont, but anything for the guap
In their own minds, they probably feel like they have never done anything wrong, it's very rare that blackhats have to interact with their victims from a human level, it's a lot easier to justify your own actions to yourself under the guise of anonymity that the internet affords us.
depends on the hacker obviously its not like ALL blackhats r forced to think "im the baaaaaaaaaaaaaad guy" duh
im sure that if blackhats think about what they do for a second then theyd be like "ok well looks like im ruining lives and not helping society im rly bad" but when u make enough money u dont start to care.
plus online and offline is VERY different
lets make an example with scamming
if u scam $50 from someone IRL...im sure ud feel bad knowing the person, maybe going through some issues, maybe they needed the money more than u
now imagine u scam $50 from someone ONLINE. u just block em and keep the money and u dont feel guilt anymore cuz U felt successful for pulling it off
ok that last sentence makes me look like a scammer now . i was joking ok guys please dont stop dealing with me ok woof

I mean, you can think you're a good person even if you know you're doing bad. If they don't think they're doing bad then that's a problem.

Do bank robbers feel like they are good people too?
I used to sell nice stuff on HF.
These days all I can offer you are my services as a software engineer and as a Spanish teacher. The later is a hobby I still enjoy.

As many things it depends,I think that there are different types like everything. One guy might think he's doing bad,but money is money, and other guys might not give a shit and just do the thing without having any thought in their mind saying that they've done the bad thing.
