DNA of brain cells was more prone to breakage after THC treatment

DNA Damaging Effects, Oxidative Stress Responses and Cholinesterase Activity in Blood and Brain of Wistar Rats Exposed to 9-Tetrahydrocannabinol

Stay away from THC.

Pure Full-spectrum CBD is still Ok though.
Is breaking brain cells bad? I'm not a doctor

Yeah, smoking THC-weed basically damages your DNA. Which means you will stop developing and may get cancer, mutations.

You just jumped to conclusions without even reading the whole thing, get outta here lmao.

Quote:We have to stress that the presented results are valid within the frame of the proposed model, and at this preliminary stage of study they were not intended to provide clinically useful information. Considering that we tested a high THC dose, one could assume that the controlled use of prescribed medical cannabis preparations, which contain much lower levels of THC possibly would not result with detrimental effects at DNA level. However, this could be confirmed only after conducting new experiments. As we focused on exposure to a single THC dose, before drawing general conclusions on THC genotoxicity, further research on in vitro and in vivo models applying a broader dose range with repeated exposure is needed. Furthermore, the metabolic differences between the rat and human metabolism also have to be taken into account before making any conclusion relevant for human risk assessment.

Breaking any cell in your body isn't the greatest granted your body makes new cells all the time as skin cells die all the time and so your body makes more. but its the same but your brain can't make more like skin.

The DNA of brain cells was more prone to breakage after THC treatment compared to DNA in white blood cells.

1 dose
Also read that hippocampus shrinks when we smoke, which makes our memory worse.
What is this anti weed government bs?

I would believe this about as much as I would believe a documented study on how "starving yourself is a healthy way to get skinny"

Normal is an illusion. What is normal for the spider is chaos for the fly.

In HF speak this means: We used a shitton of THC and we're not sure whether the real thing would have the same effects so don't use this to give out medical advice (yet)

And again:
"Furthermore, the metabolic differences between the rat and human metabolism also have to be taken into account before making any conclusion relevant for human risk assessment."

In HF speak this means: We tested it on rats not humans and humans are not rats.

At first glance this does not appear to be government sponsored bullshit:

"This study was funded through the programme of cooperation between the Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health (Zagreb, Croatia) and the University North (Varaždin, Croatia)."

If anyone cares enough I might read the entire thing this weekend and provide you with my overall opinion.

Yeah, see if the trial was properly conducted and whether the results are accurate and stuff 👍

Sure, let me just perform the same study again using the same techniques in my science lab hidden under my garage.  😧
No, in all seriousness I can provide you with my opinion, if that even matters in this scientific world.

Don't you have access to a super AI computer that could use to run simulations of the study?

I'd be interested if you want to leave your opinion

No, I don't have access to or own an AI that is capable of simulating an entire rat and the effects of THC.
Where's this coming from Debian? I thought we could have serious discussions but I'm not sure if you're just trying to provoke some kind of reaction or are generally against studies performed against THC. I'll shut up and leave you to it 🤐

Yeah im most intereted in the neurological level, such as, why did the DNA break?

Just FYI since I'm a nitpicker:
Neurological and molecular levels are very different things.
