Can anyone suggest me a good Socket programming guide for C? I searched in the Internet but I didn't find anything satisfying.

Same as the user above said, but here's a PDF:

If you are on windows I would recommend M$'s guide.
Just search "getting started with winsock", or go to the link: Getting Started with Winsock - Windows applications | Microsoft Docs (Aug 22, 2019 10:14 AM)CPyvoid Wrote: If you are on windows I would recommend M$'s guide. Despite all the contributions MS has made to the open source world We all know their former strategy: Embrace, Extend, Extinguish. Or simply buy the company 😏 They own Github, why wouldn't they be the biggest contributor on their platform. Making your product open source is the biggest advantage for an individual, and has a potential to outcompete large organizations. Now combine open source + loads of money = dominate the market, and most importantly the "interface" that everyone is using. And once you own the programmers, you can dictate the rules.

They use their own git servers. Or if they do use Github for private purposes, then most likely will use PKI. Do you honestly think Apple will store something like the IOS kernel on Github in a private repository of it isn't encrypted? Sure they'll use Github for "open source" projects. Also MS cppREST sdk is probably one of the biggest contributions to the web development world. (Aug 23, 2019 02:05 PM)YouthInAsia Wrote: Except no one actually posts anything valuable on Github. The most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, you've jumped from companies wanting to keep their code proprietary then to come it with open-source projects. The you completely misunderstood what I said. Microsoft doesn't have to release the windows 10 source code to be an open source contributor. Just the same Apple doesn't have to release the ios kernel source to be an open source contributor. Aside from that I was making an argument towarda your initial statement that they encourage open source because they own github but have complete access to the rest of the world's codes. Which is not true because like I said anyone using github most likely never had intentions of keeping their code private. Their actual proprietary code would remain on private git servers or on github encrypted in private repositories.
You can easily find it by searching through Google.

nCuX0 is on point, Beej's guide is the absolute top tier for a review of socket programming.
