I’m happy about the direction HF is taking. I can’t wait to see how far HF has gone to in about a years time.

Omni and/or Xerotic, will you publicly disclose the technology that was used in order to make this project? I know that it currently uses Jquery and a PHP backend, but will you guys be setting up a Node server specifically for this using asychnronous database connections or a framework like Laravel in order to manage concurrent database connections or simply INSERT INTO whenever the API is called into action?
Genuinly curious. If you'd rather not disclose this information publicly, I'm open to a PM or a simple NO as well. I promise, no sleek or backhand comments about the technologies that are used. None at all, just pure curiousity. ![]()
Good news update. We got a nodejs server working through our firewall and Cloudflare. We'll be working to implement the Convo as a websocket. The Node JS server will allow HF to do a few things like browser push notifications and maybe even some smart phone app stuff. :)

I've wanted HF Convos to be NodeJS based ever since we first discussed the idea of eventually coding a chat service over a year ago. We've just finally gotten to this point and have made the decision to do it. EDIT: And I think you mean MavenGradle 😉 ![]()
We really want to use websockets for a variety of things mainly a solid notifications system for the entire site and replace MyAlerts completely.
