I used to donate a lot of my time to habitat for humanity and they had to be the most greedy with customer "interest" They didn't build a house for YEARS but still took in peoples freebies and sold it for profit and the only person who'd get paid is the manager or site supervisor and they'd get fired after a year so they wouldn't get a raise. Such a self centered company I gave up all hope after that.

That's the kind of thing you read when you want to lose all hope for humanity. I know it's a meme thing to say, but still. This is what gives charity such a bad name. Not all of them are like that of course, but there are just so many stories like yours floating around that it's not funny anymore. Like you said, just cut the middle man.

It's especially honest coming from you, I mean, you freaking donated your time to them, and then you see that shit? I'd lose my mind honestly.

Well yes. I just worked 8 hours today but still, some people here are actually quite pleasant to spend some conversation time with. I'd be willing to go drink a beer with a lot of the people who posted here and just discuss whatever topic at hand.

That's exactly why this place is awesome. People like you, people willing to do something for this place. A tight and friendly community for the most part. Hence staff deserves a cut of the money because they are responsible for the general aura around here. Not to mention that staff are doing things without getting paid, at least that's what one of them told me. I'm not gonna disclose who it was, but they are honest working people who deserve a lot of praise and respect.

In all honesty I think the administrators here would even benefit from a meet-up like that. Get the word out on the streets.
