To be fair, WordPress does a great job fixing most vulnerabilities in their code. The problem now-a-days lies in their plugin repository. Some developers create plugins only for them to be riddled with adware later on after they get a lot of installs or simply aren't coded that well and allow remote code execution etc.

A hell of a lot safer than Drupal in my opinion. But everything is vulnerable to something. There's always an exploit for something somewhere waiting to happen. Not even a CPU is exploit-safe 🤝
