and yeah slept for 3 hours, sleeping disorders are lovely even better woke up to slamming my damn teeth together because I grind in the night and chipped the fucking thing. Not the first time but it's the worst shit ever. :(

I can't use a retainer because it's not for keeping you from grinding because you can still fully close your mouth. I have a sleep guard, you form it in hot water and mold it to your teeth but the damn thing realigns my jaw where my teeth are out of place and can't close my mouth or chew when I wake up for up to a hour. I can't wear it all the time because it can permanently realign my jaw and I'll literally never be able to chew or close my mouth fully.

Because it only prevents the damage from grinding but you can misalign your jaw when you are grinding.
Now when you grind you got like 1/2 extra inch of soft rubber in your mouth and your teeth like upper set and lower set never touch so it can adjust your mouth structure if you sleep long and your mouth never can close fully plus it extends your jaw all night long because the new distance so you wake up with killer jaw pain.
