No, do they send a code in the email? Is there 2 separate emails? I read somewhere the the code in in the URL? (I would have to check it again for the url,he was being lazy about it)

On that same page link, it redirects you to the google store. The last part of the URL is the code.

Also if your cousin is on "student premium" he won't get it. Make sure the spotify is US, and you're located in USA, and on US google store.
