Hello.
A friend of mine has recently purchased an iPhone from another person who has been using a SIM chip to bypass a carrier lock. He updated to iOS 13 without knowing that the carrier lock will be re-imposed on iOS update. He called Apple and apparently they can't do anything to help him with that.
Now, I'd like to ask:
Are these websites that provide unlocking services with IMEI legit? If so, could anyone provide me with a service that has been tested and does actually work?
Any input will be highly appreciated, thank you a lot!

If the device is blacklisted sure I can unlock it for you. Other than that, better don't waste your time and your money.

It is not blacklisted as far as I am concerned. It is just carrier locked.

Which network is the phone locked to?
I am a direct supplier, I can give you the lowest price + contract through hf :)

It turns out the the phone is indeed blacklisted. The carrier it's locked at is TMobile UK Orange.

Nah... There's no help. Burn it down!!! 🤩
I got an iPhone 8+ fairly used and it's locked to AT&T. I just realized it's not paid off, so i can't get the unlock code from AT&T. Any help on how to unlock this?

Hey Stellen, can I hit you up for this? I literally just joined this forum to see if this is possible (I was given a T-Mobile carrier-locked and slightly broken iPhone by a friend, it's not blacklisted, wasn't stolen, paid to have it fixed..bleh anyway), so I don't have enough bits to PM you yet, but I thiink I could receive a PM from you(?).
Anyway, I'd appreciate your time if you could spare it, and I bet there's something I could offer as an exchange that you'd be down with (are you into experimental film? I've got some pretty psychedelic films that don't appear to have been digitized anywhere else).
Anyway, thanks.✌

Beware of giving out your IMEI.
It can be stolen by some assess pretending to be whoever.

Apple wouldn't be able to help with any unlocking cases. Apple Support only helps the customer restore the device after the carrier successfully completed the unlocking process.
If your carrier is unable to perform the unlock, your other chances to avoid getting scammed would be to visit a local cell store and get the motherboard replaced with one from a broken phone. This would cost around $100 but will help you to use the device.
