Best way to extend wifi from an ethernet?

Wifi doesn't reach to part of the house, however there is an ethernet cable. I went ahead and bought one of these bad boys because I need a plug for my TV, PS4, and PC. However, that still leaves my phone rendered useless of wifi.

But, what about wifi? Anyway to avoid buying a whole new router? Anyone have any suggestions for routers under $30 that can just act as an extender? Would I be better off buying a cheap ass $15 router, or should I get an extender? Do extenders really work?

I have this and its complete shit. It has poor connection to my router, and devices from one room away still have poor signal. I have better signal connecting to my router directly which is 3 rooms away, and much better speed too.

A good alternative to this would be a powerline adapter. Use one if your house has good quality electricity (e.g. not 100 years old)
Are you using a 2.4ghz frequency or 5ghz?
Dependent on your electrical in your house/apartment, you could use a power line adapter as a cheaper route.

Or y'know use a computer as an adhoc/wifi hotspot. Or like, a playstation
Get the extenders, I have two in my house, works like a charm even all around my house outside etc.
Get an extender. They work!
I used a TP-Link extender for this issue and it solved for me. Quite cheap. If you are looking for any DIY then use another laptop and host it as hotspot. but pretty slow.

Okay, so let's say my wifi is named "Wifi1"
If I use an extender, will the extender relay the say SSID? Will my phone have to switch wifi between Wifi1 and Extender1?

Oh really, I was about to buy this model, are you sure you configured it correctly?

Extenders work well.

OoenWrt capable routers will work also. Do some research on it first though.
Extenders do their job, you should look into mesh routers. It simply keeps you connected to the same network instead of switching from one network to another.

However mesh systems are very expensive.

For your use, an extender is fine.
Someday I will upgrade to a mesh router. Haven't reached that point yet. Powerline adapters look interesting tho.
Good morning,

Best item to buy is a WIFI extender to to broadcast a stronger signal on your network.
