I have not been on hackforums in about 2 1/2years. One day I decided to try to log back into the site and access some old posts for nostalgia, and my login wouldn't work. it kept telling my username does not exist, etc. never thought anything of it. just tried logging in again, and it didn't work. so I decided I would try to make a new account and see if maybe I forgot my username. via search bar I found this: /showthread.php?tid=5881857 (I cannot post the link)
It seems as if the person imitating me (Vuzion) is not even English. I am from Florida, speak fluent english, and was a trusted member. I was the leader of Rat's Crew (when it was a thing). a part of the Reviewers (when they were first released) and had nothing but good rep. If you check my previous posts I was into gaming,  some blackhat, and whitehat. I was nothing but helpful to others. admins/mods, you will notice a change in activity if you look into the account, that IPs do not match up from logins. and that stuff isn't right. I would never do anything to tarnish my reputation or my account that had Ub3r. I tried contacting admins once before about my account not working (not knowing the circumstances). I never setup 2fa or guath protection on my account in 2017?(Member since 2009!), and I'm assuming my account was compromised sometime around then. Big loss for me, tons of time put into an account and a community just for some scumbag to take it. Everybody, be smart and put extra protection on your account, it could happen to you too.

Definitely wasn't me, my guy. Any admin that looks into the account and sees the login records, the way things were changed, the way the person spoke, can tell. -- I'm a hard working individual and would never rip someone off. A look at my old reputation can show that (pre-2017) I did nothing but help others. I never once sold or purchased anything having to do with instagram, or any kind of "OG" accounts or handles. Looking at their grammar and spelling (the scammer), it looks atrocious. If I were impersonating a way more trusted member than myself, wouldn't I be using good spelling/grammar/punctuation and English?

Just trying to shed some light on it and maybe (hopefully) get my account back after all the time spent on it. I remember there being some security issues around the time that guath was released on the site.

What I fail to understand is that you were in a rat help team and were really into white hat and black hat but you can't manage to keep an online forums account from getting jacked.

I never set guath on my account, it was just my login. nothing else to it. There was no malware on my computer, no other accounts were compromised. Only HF.. riddle me that one?
Hadn't been using HF much at the time other than to find people to game with - I was more into HF when I was younger and had more time on my hands.

Only once there was a gauth reset but considering you didn't have any security enabled, that doesn't really concern you. Either way, account recoveries haven't been a thing for years so that's why your requests were ignored. I highly doubt you'll get your account back.

If this claim is legitimate, the only thing I can think of is that you were effected by a DB dump, if there has ever been one on HF (I think there has been some time back).

HF's DB has been dumped before, although I don't know how extensive/accurate it was. I just remember seeing it all over cracking/leak websites but I couldn't tell you how legit. I do, however, remember this user, or at least the username.

If he had no additional account security then this could be a safe bet. For someone going through a DB, since his account was aged and reputable, it would presumably be one of the first targets.

Unfortunately OP, I think this ones on you. Your carelessness caused someone to lose $2.5k. Sure you worked hard to build the account, but so did that guy for his $2.5k. If he isn't compensated for a legitimate cause, why should you be for your carelessness? Nothing personal, just my opinion. If you still think your account is so valuable then offer to compensate that guy and I think Omni may throw you a bone for making things right.

I remember you Minimalist. You seemed to be a very active and one of the nice person of HF and then one day I read a news that said minimalist is now banned, on HF News.

I don't really know what to say. Maybe people should learn from you to protect their accounts more carefully.

edit: Around the time you left I believe it was a requirement to have 2FA enabled in order to recover any account, I'm surprised you didn't have it enabled. 2FA helps SO much, and then Country Lock on top of it; perfection.
