No, this is not an ex-staff.
Staff member 10th Jan 2017 - 30th May 2020.
HF Administrator 30th May 2020 - 14th July 2022.
It was a blast being on staff. I stepped down as it's time for me to move on. I wish you all the best and if you were hit by my warnings and/or bans, it was nothing personal.
Peace out!

Oh gotcha. After looking through his threads I noticed he didn't have any of the threads that Mini did have.
bugga told me I'm a cutie

Do you remember the last time you changed your PW before you lost access?
That happened in 2011 and all account passwords were required to be reset.
OT: I was a Rat’s Crew leader in 2011 before joining the Staff team. Such a long time ago.
So your lack of security led to members of the community being scammed for thousands of dollars. A common tactic of scammers back then was to share 50/50 the amount scammed. But of course I got word the scammer didn't keep his word and just kept all the scammed money.

Pay back the money to those scammed and maybe I'd consider it. But realistically we both know that's not going to happen. Either you were irresponsible with your account security or you were part of the scam. Both scenarios disqualifies you from recovery.
And as Xerotic said about that dump, pretty much useless for the most part. But accounts were being compromised through a rainbow table attack on very old accounts that eventually got upgraded. At the time of the dump (2011) I chose to only force-reset passwords of upgraded members. So if you didn't have an upgraded account at the time you might not have been reset. A few years ago a lot of closed and old accounts were being accessed forcing me to take additional measures against the accounts. It's possible that if you never changed your password that your account was in that dump and that eventually you went from a regular member to Ub3r thus making your account very attractive to spend time to crack and steal.
None of those accounts can be compromised anymore. But the fact is that 2FA would have 100% prevented your account from being stolen (if indeed that even happened).
I feel no pity for OP.

I don't really know what to say. Maybe people should learn from you to protect their accounts more carefully.

He just change his handle using some charts to make it looks like Minimalist and scam me with 2500$...
and now he is crying ...
I can neither confirm nor deny that I'm new here.
Everyone should enable 2FA and use actual information. Based off what I have read on this subject lately, I do not think its possible to recover at all. So use 2FA, takes 30 seconds to do.
