Hello everyone,

I'm doing quite a lot of CTF's, i do compete in a different platforms but I'd love to see that here. Do you believe it'd be a good idea to have an official HF CTF's challenges ?
People always complain why the forum is called HackForums but you can't do much with hacking related stuff, and CTF is well ugh close to that :)
If so I'm down to teamup with SUI-3183372 and Mr. Robot 😎

So i believe we should be accessing this page using hack game menu. Where you could either choose to do it solo or as a team. We will have various of tasks, depends on the CTF whether it will be Jeopardy, Attack-Defence or mixed. After completing successful one challenge we could do a writeup. Not much of a benefit to new members but everyone gotta start from somwhere. As of rewards, i don't believe we should have any, I'd rather do it for fun. Also one good idea would be to unlock writeups using bytes.

its a very nice idea, I usually join every weekend a CTF game form this list: https://ctftime.org/, its a good idea HackForums create their own one, so it will be a yearly event, and no need to be accessed from gamecp, I suggest to be hosted on diff domain and server for exp HackForumsCTF.com or HFCTF.

:✌ this could be a great idea, targeting an authentic audience too so more people will join HF, and in the future, a dedicated thread or cat for CTF walkthrough or writeup,s etc... leaderboard... a lot of ideas can bring to the forum more audience

This sounds really fun! I think any 'multiplayer' game will be a good addition. We need more interaction with other users.
Sadly I don't think it'll come to life anytime soon since Hackuman isn't finished yet and was just released. And don't even get me started about "Hack Game" 😕

Anyways thank you for this idea and I hope we'll see something like this in the future!

I definitely think Hack Forums should be involved in some actual hacking.

Any kind of CTF is a good CTF :)

Sounds fun. I know nothing about CTF apart from what's written in this thread but it would really be a great addition since there are a lot of games being added to HF this would also hype the Lounge and increase activity.

Thanks everyone for supporting the idea, I'm aware it wouldn't be easy nor will happen anytime soon, but at least to get the idea and once hackuman is somewhat done, to begin with CTF. I believe it'd be a good addition and will bring more attention hence more people will join HF as 961API mentioned.

I think this would be a really neat idea, wouldn't be easy by any kind but I think it would definitely be one of the better features on the forum.
