I generally agree, in situations like this. If navigation needs to be explained then it really isn't navigation. Non-standard icons with lack of accompanying text makes HF navigation difficult, especially for new members. But you have to remember HF started in 2007. Changes have to be gradual otherwise we risk disenfranchising older members.

We continue to work on improvements. Lots of adjustments have been made since this thread was created 7 months ago.
I have some ideas for alterations but I always worry about doing too much at once.

I do HF credit for having one of the best forum design.
Keep the ideas coming and do it like how you are doing it right now, in steps.
I like seeing small changes and it's easier to revert when things don't work.
In the 4 years I've been here I've been generally happy with the changes, I do miss the ol' emojis :'c
I came across HackForums while searching for a 7-Eleven Rewards app hack. I am so glad that I came across this site. I wish I had've known about this site years ago when I was still in my 20's, would've saved me time, patience and nerves!

Hey well welcome to Hf buddy. Hope you enjoy it here. Great staff and great community.
You have any questions feel free to start a convo with me.
Thanks for this info, very helpful
Quick question: Why was the UserCP link removed from the forum header? It was at a really convenient place. Now whenever I need to get into UserCP, I have to manually type the link in address bar. Could it be added back please? Omniscient

Just use the existing link.

Thanks for pointing it out. I always over looked at thag option, most likely because it said 'Account' instead of UserCP.
Thank you. Helps me understand the new UI.
It helps someone like me who is returning to the site after a long time of inactivity as well. The site has changed a lot since I was last active.
thank you for the stuff!!
