Corona Virus - Norway on full lockdown

I am from Norway, and all schools countrywide have been shut down or are being shut down tomorrow or on Monday. This includes kindergartens.
We are currently getting digital education, through video/voice chats.

What is bad about this, is that my parents are not able to work, as they need to be there for my 2-year-old brother.
This is going to cause major economical issues.
Let's say you are not able to work, and you don't get any pay, but you still need to pay for food, water, electricity, etc.

Restaurants and Grocery stores are still open, but they need to maintain a 1-meter distance from each customer.
If they fail to do this, they are closing as well.

Some people are literally raiding the stores to get as much food as possible 🤣

What do you guys think of the situation the world is in right now?
And is there anything else we can do? than locking down everything, and maintaining a home quarantine?

There are already 20 other threads on the same topic and I don't see a point of starting new ones anymore. We all know that the situation is fucked up and there's nothing we can do about it, except talk. Almost every European county is on full lockdown, people are acting crazy like it's the end of the world, streets are empty, schools are not working etc... The biggest problem is this unnecessary panic that is pumped around the corona.

yes, the problem with closing schools is that parents need to stay home with their younger children, which becomes a real problem when doctors, police, fire fighters etc need to stay home with their kids.

Yep, it's going to be super interesting to see what's going to happen in the future.
A few hours ago I was eating in a resturant with my friends while a guest approached to us and talked about the exact occasion you display here.

I'm from Israel and it gets worse here everyday. All the education institutions will be abolished during the next week. In addition, Ministry of Health maintains not to have parties of more than 100 participants (it was limited to 2000 a week ago, lol).
I truly hope things will get better
i have a cousin living there, hope they will discover a cure asap.

This is getting absolutely ridiculous. Feels like every school is closing down.

Let people write what threads they want, it's a big thing of our time, and it increases HF activity by quite a sum.
I also live in Norway.
Not being able to work is really not a big issue in Norway right now, as you are able to get enough money to live from https://www.nav.no/

The grocery store situation is really crazy right now, but I do understand why people choose to raid the stores.
I would not trust our government being able to get enough food for everyone in the country if the stores stop getting stock or closes.
Just see how they ignored the corona virus for weeks.

Yep, that is true. Nav is a super good thing we have here in Norway.
But think about all the money lost in total worldwide from this disaster 😳
To me, all of the quarantine is nonsense. Influenza alone is still a bigger thread than the coronavirus. I'm my country alone the flu has killed over 12,000 this year. It's all hype. The elderly and childern are the real ones at risk. People with an immune deficiency. If anything I'd worry more about a secondary infection.
Australias starting to get this way - can see it completely shut down within a week or two..
