I also received a green hackman egg. Sadly it was short-lived, and was soon killed off. But I never received an award too. Do you lose the award if your one and only egg/hackman die?

Seems like it's an error with the Hackuman system perhaps. I would suggest reporting about it to Xerotic and see if it can be fixed. Might be some minor glitch.
