Gonna ask a personal opinion about habits for grammar and spelling.
Let's say you quote a post. You type out your response. Spell-check shows spelling errors inside the quoted text. Do you bother to fix it or leave it as-is?

I'd normally just leave it, not everyone's first language is English so I wouldn't hate on someone that doesn't have perfect English, however I do try to make sure I've not made any mistake.
I am using Grammarly. I used to check it, edit it, and only after I post.
It's a quote. I don't change quotes.

I agree. Doesn’t really effect me on what the other person says
If it's a quote I'm referencing I'd leave it as the other person typed it. Working in compliance has kinda programmed that into me.
I don't really bother fixing someone's mistakes in a quote. Also mentioned above, a quote is a quote and if you change it it's almost as it's not a quote anymore but a paraphrase.

Agreed. For example, I'm not correcting the spelling error in your quote. 😎
I usually trust what my iPhones autocorrect wants me to do. Which is sometimes a really really bad idea.

I work for a company that you have to use proper grammar. But on a casual 1-2, between me and you, there's not a not a chance 😋

What error?
I don’t speak perfect english, but I try to type as good as I can. Is the red underscores under my text spelling errors? If so, I have a lot of them in this text.
Ah, "effect" vs "affect"?

I think he's talking about you using "effect" instead of "affect"
It's quote. Changing it is just the same as misquoting anyone. I realise that there are a lot of people who do not have English as their first language and are not perfect at it. All I can do to is try and ensure that my own writing doesn't have any mistake.
