So my country, South Africa, in this Corona thing they decided to give back to those who are suffering to give an extra unemployment grant.
You get $18.6 or R350 A MONTH, if you are unemployed.
Don't know what you can do with that, but i guess any little bit any little bit helps.
What are your thoughts on it & how much do you guys get for unemployment?
That sounds really low, what’s the average rent for a single family home in your area?

Umm i'm fortunate to live in a middle-class Area, our rent is sitting at $450 a month, however most places are upwards of $600, but most of these people are living in shacks or shelters.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
You buy bags of pap , do chakalala soup you are good for a month and 2liters of coke.
haha thats great, enjoy your extra toilet paper rolls mate. the government has no spine if it doesn't pay up when they themselves caused this hurt
That's very low. But yeah. At least something is being given out. Some countries just don't have the luxury and resources to give out any amount of assistance to their citizens. This may be able to cover some smaller bills.

haha, that could work, but mostly lots of Mealie Meal & beans & something called Amasi, Personally grateful for being able to live as what we call normal however for most people here, it can be seen as luxury.
Google Amasi I am sure you will enjoy finding out what it is, tried it before & did not enjoy it but i know a lot of people who enjoy it with breakfast.

So 18.60 is basically nothing. Weird to think about all the bureaucracy that must be navigated, to simply give less than 20 bucks a person in the end.

I can apply because a student so can claim Unemployed but a lot of racism so even if i do apply chances of me getting it aren't that high, Also with business's applying for help that are white owned are getting declined, So can not get that extra toilet roll.
Wow. Basically $20 a month? Thats low but can help some people out alot!

Might sound stupid, but I’ve watched Idiot Abroad. There’s an episode filmed in South Africa, where a lot of people are living in makeshift homes with nothing, then one guy who has more money than you can possibly imagine. It’s hard to believe the distribution of wealth can be so unequal.
Either way, $18 isn’t very much if you’re unemployed with mouths to feed and bills to pay.

Well the Slogan in this country is, if i got a house and food, who cares about the next person. Pretty sad but a lot of people live like this, every man for themselves.

The $50 billion may be targeted towards companies more than the people. Regardless, let's hope they will fork out more for the people. I hope they will find a way to open more opportunities for employment for the people there. It is a tough time now.
Be well buddy!
