i mean then don't feel guilty, i kind of have the same philosophy. if i can't afford something and i need it, i'm going to steal it, but when i can afford it later in life, i'll pay for it.

i used to torrent antivirus subscriptions and now i just pay for them because i can.

You can do as you deem, think if you were the producer behind those anime you downloaded. That's all money you're losing.

Anyway, most producers (especially for movies) already consider that there will be a loss in sales due to piracy, that's why they push to incorporate ads (e.g. cans of coke / known t-shirts etc) inside movie scenes, so that no matter how you got access to the movie, you're still watching ads that's inside scenes.
