What is your opinion on Chinese phones?

Afternoon fellow users. I'm curious how the Hackforums community feels about Chinese androids. They're far more affordable but are lacking in some aspects compared to the flagship devices from what I can tell.

A few of the brands I'm referring to that would be relevant to this topic:
  • Xiaomi

  • Blackview

  • Huawei

Nope. I would not buy any of those three. I don't trust them what so ever and they definitely aren't going to be providing timely updates.

What do you find untrustworthy? I think it might be a decent alternative for people who don't want to spend absurd amounts of money on flagship droids they never even break surface with.

Just my thoughts.

I do think a lot of the Chinese phone manufacturers are very competitive in terms of specs and price, however, speculation surrounding the sacurity of the software is concerning.

The fact that they have apps intended to track your location, contacts list, call and messaging history, etc.
I love Xiaomi, it's the one that I'm using and price wise it was the best choice I could've made, I understand the concern regarding security and privacy but I'd rather buy a phone that works good for 400$ with the best specs and not an iPhone / Gaalxy for 1,000$

Never trust a chinese phone, it's hard to trust one plus since their parent is oppo. Samsung can be trusted but there is no rom support for the snapdragon phones.
