BSc Interaction Design [DEGREE DONE]

Greetings, I originally posted this in the wrong section.

I wanted to share this thread and the excitement of the fact that I have submitted my final university project and will be declared as an official graduate with a degree in Interaction Design, BSc (Bachelor of Science).

For the past 4 years, I have been studying the design of UI, and I have covered UX fundamentals (Websites & Apps) and Frontend Development. I've been working on a handful of projects, I spent 75% of my uni time focusing on Design work, and only the past year and a half I have been pushing myself with development. Proficient in HTML/SCSS/CSS, Intermediate level with Javascript, and just above the basics with React. I am feeling pretty confident at the moment that I can create react based apps because I spent the past 3 weeks learning the framework and I have more than the basics down.

The point? I have a lot planned and I am really glad that I have a degree now. I currently work as a Contractor remotely for 2 firms based in the USA. I take on additional projects on the side as a Freelancer.

Looking forward to building more web-based apps and websites.
There's honestly a lot that I will be doing in the upcoming days and weeks.

I hope you're all doing well during these unprecedented times.

edit: My website is old - it's going to be replaced with a new one very soon.

Hey thanks, man, but the website is getting old now. I'm going to make a new one very soon as it doesn't exactly represent what I am capable of.

You should definitely get into it, a very interesting and demanding profession in the industry. I'm grateful for all the clients I have been getting the past 2 years, it's a blessing.
I dig the website man, the loading animation definitely catches my eyes and makes me want to stay, I'm proud of your accomplishment! I'm sure when you update your website it'll be even better. Keep it up man, I'm sure you'll go far
That's an amazing accomplishment, congratulations! I also have a background in User Experience/Interaction Design, though I apply it mostly to front-end engineering work nowadays. It's super helpful when I'm working with product managers or experience designers, and I can communicate with them on their terms (versus having to go back and forth between tech talk and other kinds of talk.)

Your site also looks super cool, just seems to take a lot of JS to load and do everything. One aspect of UX/UI is always performance: how many resources it takes to do something. How can you achieve something visually stunning without sacrificing resources to do so? Food for thought, don't want to distract from your amazing accolade.

Thank you so much :)

Thats really cool man im glad to see another fellow user with Frontend engineering experience and background in this field and yes you are 100% correct about the communication.

You make an excellent point and Ive always been aware that my website is slow to a degree, which is why im scrapping it and making a new one very soon. You see, im using GSAP as my animation library framework, which is resource heavy.

Theres an animation library called  animateplus which is a lot more resource efficient and smaller in size, its been created by Ben, a designer who works for stripe and he has mentioned that GSAP and other frameworks are too slow. You should really check it out, animateplus is amazing. It literally accomplishes everything youd want and its much less resource consuming. Seeing it working live is stunning. Motion blur effect, easing, transitions of all sorts etc..

Also what you linked makes me speechless. All those of pieces of with CSS? im going to explore it.
congratulations, keep working hard man love the website that you have made.

Nicely done man, keep going ;) As of React, I'd highly recommend you this guy MavenGradle , if you seem to struggle somewhere, you can ask him this and that. I am sure he will help you out.

No worries brotha ✌ I'm glad that you hustle, don't let small things distract you from your direction, if you seem to lose motivation in that, let me know, I might help you as well on killing that :P

I do my best, it's a very useful reminder from you.

May actually consider hitting you up for that soon, it's easy for me to slip, but also easy to get back in and up 😁

Much appreciated! The website will be remade, it's bad at the moment from my eyes.

Also likewise, stay well.
