Yes agreed!
Im a person of colour so racism is not new to me. I was following the situation in America but I hadnt seen the video of what happened. After watching this ''standup'' I was compelled to see the full video and it made me really sad and appalled. I think Dave Chappelle did a wonderful job not talking about the usual comic skits and making this one a serious statement.

He's always had serious messages in his comedy, but you can tell this one, he didn't even want to be a comedy. I like that he knows his place as a comedian and as a real guy living in America.
Yeah youre right. Thats probably coz he wasnt born a celebrity and he has had to face systematic racism since childhood. I had this professor in uni while I was doin my post grad, who told us in a lecture that in most western countries, black communities are not only given less opportunities but they are put into a vicious cycle. She explained further that black communities tend to have more fast food joints and little to no availability of fresh produce and even if it were available, the prices would be way way beyond their affordability. So they end up eating shitty low quality food, get sick more, cant afford healthcare, cant afford education and the cycle keeps on rolling. The professor was a white lady from the UK and the disgust and sadness in her expression was palpable and so most of the students irrespective of our skin tones were influenced positively by her message.

He's been doing shows since his early teens though, so it's interesting that he still knows what's up. I fuck with him heavily. I know some people don't like him, but whatever.
