Apple to Bring Their Own Chips to Macs
Some experts say Apple is moving to its chips by 2021. Apple is still using its chips in iPhones and iPads, and adding them to Macs will be a wise step. It will be a significant help to the business and customers who have stuck with Apple or are just entering their ecosystem. Better battery life and slimmer devices will be one of the critical advantages of this change. “Moving to ARM-based chips can bring efficiencies and better battery life without sacrificing performance. It may also help to cut out some size issues, possibly allowing Macs to be made thinner, while also negating the need for fans,” said David McQueen, research director at ABI Research. This would also give Apple another competitive advantage to more easily control its product launch. >>Source

In the battle against COVID-19, Fugaku was put to work by demonstrating how droplets from people disperse in tight locations. Over the last six years, this supercomputer has been built and currently resides in Kobe City. >>Source

AirPods Life to Last Longer
A new feature to ship with iOS 14 is that AirPods will have extended lifetime. iOS 14 will learn how to age your AirPod battery and avoid charging once 80% is hit and continue to 100% later. This feature already exists in many of their products to help prevent the battery from aging, as lithium-ion batteries mature over time. It is a significant advantage because AirPods do not have the option to remove the battery inside them; instead of a modular design, they are glued together. >>Source
