Does anyone know if you can still play the first Call of Duty: Black Ops on Xbox One online?
I know if you can there's probably not many people playing it, but I know it's backwards compatible with Xbox One - I just don't know if the servers are still up for online play or if they've been retired? All the information online seems to be either very outdated or conflicting...
Anyone who knows please post!
Servers will still be online but the lobbies are probably filled with cheaters since you can get cheats from watching some clips in the theatre

It was like that in 2015 or 2016 when I last played, but I thought seeing as they "remastered it" and allowed for back-compatibility with Xbox One they might of done something about it?

They never remastered black ops 1, you are just running the game on an emulated 360 when using backwards compatibility.

So yeah sorry it wasn't remastered, but considering they took the effort to back it compatible with Xbox One, surely they'd have done something about the cheating? When was the last time you tried it?

Why would Microsoft do anything about cheaters on Activisions game? Microsoft allowed 360 games to be emulated on the Xbox One, nothing more and nothing less.

Yeah, maybe I'm not getting something properly then. I just don't see why you'd bother releasing a game for backwards compatibility (or even posting a press release saying that you were going to) that was full of cheats and so virtually unplayable. I just don't see why they'd bother. But I suppose they did.
Thanks anyways.

You can still play it online, however, sometimes it takes ages to find a lobby. I played it about 2 months ago on backwards compatibility.
Buying US PSN Gift Cards. Paying in PP and BTC.

I've been trying to login for ages on the servers the past few days, but I just get a message saying you're not allowed to play this game online. I don't understand though as I have the Xbox Live and everything. Just wondering if XB1 servers have gone now.
It takes awhile to play online.
I would suggest trying for a TDM
i played a couple, last week. I know there their
