Quote:Sakurai Shinichi's one wish is for a little peace and quiet. But Uzaki Hana–his boisterous, well-endowed underclassman–has other plans. All she wants is to hang out and poke fun at him. With the help of her chipper charm and peppy persistence, this might just be the start of a beautiful relationship!

This anime is also called: Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!
It's highly recommended to keep your posts in spoilers, but there is no way to enforce that since this is a discussion thread and anything goes. Don't get upset if you read something and you aren't up-to-date with the current episodes.
As for me, I shall use spoiler codes for the first three episodes. After that, I will not use the spoiler code anymore.
Of course, in general, when it comes to things we like, we have a subjective view of things. Depending on what you like will determine if this anime is for you. Sadly, this anime was a disaster for me to watch. The quality is low-budget, and I felt like this is the first anime that I dislike in terms of a thread I've created.
The animation is all over the place. In some scenes it's terrible video game visual novel style movement, other times some characters are in CGI while others are in 2D, it just isn't consistent.
The main character, Uzaki is obnoxious and annoying. This is where the line is going to be set for people who will like and dislike this anime. This anime revolves around Sakurai Shinichi who is a college student. He is a loner who enjoys, of course, spending time alone. As someone who fits this personality trait, I'll explain why Uzaki is annoying in just a bit.
In the first semester, Sakurai isn't bothered. Uzaki notices that Sakurai does nothing but lounge and eat while waiting for classes to start and when classes are over he goes home or goes out to have some fun. There's nothing wrong with that. As someone who also likes to be alone, I normally don't ask my friends to hang out (mostly because they are annoying, but that's another story for another time) and I usually want to be alone after class.
The next semester, Sakurai is now a junior and Uzaki is a sophomore in college and she decides to but into Sakurai's life. She's loud and obnoxious, and she constantly harasses Sakurai who just wants to be alone. She's not attractive at all, she's short, other than that the feature you'll notice the most about her is her big boobs.

This is supposed to be a romantic comedy, but I don't justify that at all. How can someone who's harassing someone else be called a romantic comedy?
Anyway, the anime is 50/50 at the moment. Some people like it, others don't. I just don't think Uzaki is a good character. Who wants to watch an anime where the main character is just annoying, right?
She ruins Sakurai by sort of social engineering him into getting him to pay for a movie ticket when she didn't even want to watch a movie originally. Then, she tells him how much of a loner he is for having the points to purchase the ticket from all the movies he's seen by himself. Maybe that's a reality call, but at the same time, you can enjoy a movie on your own. Who says you can't watch a movie by yourself? I have friends who do that.
Then, when going out to dinner she eats ALL of the food that HE ordered. They aren't dating and unless he specifically stated they could share, he wasted money on something he wanted to eat and was left with nothing. Then she tries to play it off.
The reason the two even know each other is because they were in the swim club maybe in highschool, but other than that they have no real relationship and it just annoys me how much she's jumping into his life when he clearly doesn't want to be around her. It seems this anime will revolve around the two doing things together, and maybe he'll come to like her.
I can't wait to see what other annoying things she does.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER

Seems interesting, thanks for the info 💯✌
I had a great time with this first episode and had some laughs throughout. Looking forward for the rest. 12 episodes is so short though!

I'm mostly going to be negative if Uzaki is as annoying (in my opinion) as she is, so I am curious to know what you like about the show? In no way am I judging you. As a person who "reviews" stuff, I'm curious to see what other people have to say about it, considering I talked down on the show. I just like to get an idea of other people's tastes, if that makes sense.

No judgment taken. You should see my list!
The comedy is okay, and the characters are not in the typical high school setting so I have high hopes for situations you wouldn't find shounen protagonists in. The plot is there because Uzaki wants to make her senpai have a great college life and I think that's pretty cool for a slice of life anime.
Onto the most debatable matter at hand, the oppai is borderline crossing the physiological boundaries and in no way am I knocking anyone with that stature. There were a few other anime of the decade (can't remember them at the moment), where the oppai was just way too distracting but I think this is satisfactory.
Also, the voice actress for Uzaki fits her quite well and one of her notable characters, Satania, is one of the most loudmouth, sinister and evil female protagonists ever to be known in anime history so when I learned she was playing this character, I had to watch it.
Other than that, SUGOI DEKAI!

It makes me interested to continue watching it (which I will regardless) in this mindset. 👍
Episode 2.
I found myself enjoying the second episode more. However, I still believe Uzaki is an absolutely annoying little sh*t. About that though, without her, she wouldn't make the show what it is. I've noticed a good amount of positive discussions for this anime and a lot also agree that this episode was a nice touch compared to the first episode. Additionally, some fewer people dislike this than I thought. That's okay though, I am going to continue to watch even if I'm always a negative nancy. However, I am trying my best to state here that I am not saying the second episode was bad. It was good.
We got to see a little ecchi scene here and that was definitely unexpected. Of course, we've seen Uzaki's boobs bounce like a rabbit frolicking in a meadow a couple of times, but seeing a pantsu scene and a fairly lewd one at that, was a surprise to me. It was funny though and seeing Sakurai get caught put the icing on the cake.
I liked the cafe owner. Although he is a background character and we might not see him again, he did have some influence on how the episode did well. Of course, he wasn't a major influence but allowing Uzaki and Sakurai to fool around in his shop and him laughing over their youth was nice.
I believe in the next episode we'll be introduced to the character Ami. We know nothing about her so I'm hoping for a good explanation in the next episode.
Episode 4.
A lot of anime this season is going with the random episode route where we have no idea what is to come in the next episode, and it's not a continuation of the last.
In this episode, I had fewer complaints than I thought. Usually, if I'm completely negative and there's no point in posting a discussion review, like for last week's episode, I won't even bother writing anything. Before I get into this week, last week we were introduced to the shop owner's daughter, Ami, aka best girl. We also get to see her in this episode too and I'm sure we'll continue seeing her. The last person we have yet to meet is the guy on the cover. I'm guessing he is the one that owns the cat.
Considering that Uzaki and Sakurai both like cats, I'm sure they'll get along well when they meet. Now, the first half of this episode was annoying. I'm not into the way Uzaki teases Sakurai. I enjoyed "Teasing Master Takagi-san" because it was a playful tease and both parties were cute. When it comes to this, it seems that Sakurai is annoyed too much.
However, after watching this episode, you can see at the end of it he starts to tolerate her more. It mostly has to do with him having little to no experience with girls I'm sure too, which is getting added to the mixture of why he's mad if that makes sense? Anyway, the ending was good and I'm glad they were able to get along and play games together in peace for once.
I had curry last month (it's weird to say that because as I write this, last month was a day ago) and after watching this episode I want some again. I might look into how to make it as I've started cooking for myself more during the quarantine.
I like her boobs but I'm not sure if I'll even bother finishing the anime

Even her boobs can't justify it for me. Sadly, I can't tolerate her at all, but you know weebs, glorifying everything they see.
Episode 5
Episode 5 wasn't that bad. Uzaki wasn't much of an annoyance so that was good. We finally get introduced to the last character on the artwork, Itsuhito, Sakurai's friend who he has known for three years. Weirdly, they introduced him so late, but it's good we finally meet him.
Additionally, the cat seen in the artwork isn't owned by anyone, and it's the stray cat from the early half of the anime. I thought he was owned by Itsuhito but I guess I was wrong!
We still don't know much about him, but he's a likable character so far. I think his interactions with Sakurai are funny and I can see him pushing Sakurai over the edge with trying to get with Uzaki. Ami (best girl) takes note of this, and gets mad that Itsuhito is getting too involved with their "relationship." I can see them clashing ideas, especially in the next episode!
The choco-mint scene was interesting, and a change of pace, but as someone who enjoys choco-mint too, I enjoyed Uzaki's explanation on why choco-mint is so tasty! All of the food shown in the anime looked so good, especially the chocolate mint cake. I don't think I've ever had that before.
In the next episode, it looks like we'll be getting a beach episode. So it'll be interesting to see what's to come. I'm not a fan of Uzaki, but I know the weebs are looking forward to seeing her in a swimsuit. Will she be a one-suit wonder like in the swim club or will we be getting some fan service of her in a bikini? I feel so weird asking that. 🤣

Sadly, I feel the same way about chocolate mint. It's just toothpaste :P

I'll have my chocolate mint cake and eat it too.
This was a pretty good quote. This series has been pretty chilled so far. It's great
