Okay want to post a followup after taking the time to read this. I can admit to my eyes being open very wide just in the talk between her and her parents. Showing me police beatings and exclaiming how the polls were opened just for voting. They pretty much touch on exactly what you wrote, especially that the "president" is completely corrupt. In America, our people's voice is just as strong as our governments. When the police kill someone, we can raise absolute hell without them dropping bombs on us or even really beating us (because it will just cause a war between police and people). There in Serbia, the police definitely have a major upperhand, and I do not believe there are enough Serbian citizens to actually "take on the police" nor do I know what would happen if you did. If you read recently, in America a police officer killed a black man... this lead to hundreds of stores and police cars being set on fire in rampage from the rebellion of our citizens. Why are the tables so turned in Serbia? Why simply absorb the beating. A power trip can never be beaten without force. I respect your behavior and completely respect you standing up for everything.. however you are essentially in a situation in which you must wait for someone to come in and save you; this seems very dangerous. I wish you the best

Both police and us, citizens are victims to the dictator and shouldn't draw blood because of few personas in "power".
There is violence on both sides. I for example, was lucky. Even though I was the first person arrested on Friday, I could say I took "fatherly beating" and am completely fine.
If everyone just went outside (well, there's corona to worry about) and say "I'm done with this shit" and just sat outside their house. Police, military and citizens. That would be the end of it. The world in Serbia would stop.
Personas in power are only in power because they can control other people. If there is nobody to control, they are pretty fragile.

I've risked my life, put a personal example (going unarmed and sitting in front of the police on day two), walking in the very front on Friday (also unarmed (bought some bandages though)) and now I hope my message will reach someone, who can put a stop to this.

That is exactly what the "Peaceful America" strives to avoid. But as the people begin to fight back hard, they are the ones to step down and ask for peace (because they do not want this to progress into a war). I am sure the circumstances are different in your scenario, and it would in fact end the world as you stated. Again admire your stance at trying to reach a passive resolution; I sadly just don't see how that would cause your type of government to change... and almost reach a North Korean state of accepting this abuse. Let me get her to type a response formulated with her family

Ovi gradjanski protesti treba da ostanu gradjanski. Ovde gledamo N1 televiziju TV novaS i na drustvenim mrezama smo. Bolje osetimo situaciju jer nam mozgovi nisu isprani nacionalnom
frekvencijom. Cesto sam skretala paznju svojoj cerki da svoje misljenje zadrzi za sebe naucena strahom iz Srbije Ovde to nije slucaj Svakom mozes da kazes sta ti se ne svidja i da podrzis koga zelis da izadjes na ulicu i iskazes svoje nezadovoljstvo. Mada americki predsednik svoj narod ne stavlja u takve situacije kao sto to cini Vucic Slusate danima o rastu novoobolelih u Americi ali ovde vlast podize narodu samosvest a ne zakljucava i otkljucava kada to njima odgovara. Ovde narod to ne bih dopustio. Zato je ovde narod samosvesno odgovoran i svako se cuva najbolje sto zna i ume Mozda ce neko reci da zato ima toliko obolelih ali to nije tacno.Amerika je velika a ekonomija ne sme da trpi. U NY nas narod podrzava ispred ambasade Srbije proteste. Ovde nas narod deli po drustvenim mrezama sva zbivanja(kao sto je prebijanje i divljanje policije) Podrzavam te u ovoj borbi ali je to manje bitno koliko je bitno da se protesti ne ugase i da sto vise mladog sveta izadje na ulice.

Only in all my personal struggles and support of the opposition there was at least an apparent "new leader", now the opposition's appearance at such rallies is just a signal to the ordinary
 people not to interfere (citizens and opposition)
These civil protests should remain civil.  Here we watch N1 television TV novaS and we are on social networks.  We feel the situation better because our brains are not brainwashed nationally
frequency.  I often drew the attention of my daughter to keep her opinion to herself, taught by fear from Serbia. This is not the case here. You can tell everyone what you don't like and support whoever you want to take to the streets and express your dissatisfaction.  Although the American president does not put his people in such situations as Vucic does. You have been hearing for days about the growth of new patients in America, but here the government raises the people's self-awareness and does not lock and unlock when it suits them.  The people here would not allow that.  That is why the people here are self-consciously responsible and everyone takes care of themselves as best they can. Maybe someone will say that there are so many sick people, but that is not true. America is big and the economy must not suffer.  In NY, the people support us in front of the Serbian embassy protests.  Here, the people share us on social networks all the events (such as beatings and savagery of the police). I support you in this fight, but it is less important how important it is that the protests do not die down and that as many young people as possible take to the streets.
