I think whether it's large amount or small if one wants to use a MM then other user must agree to it or close the deal. If they deny to use MM then it's a red flag and you shouldn't deal with him.
Why a seller doesnt wanna use a MM? |

If seller doesnt want to use MM then simply back off the deal and find someone else? Unsure what the discussion is about here.
MM makes sense for currency exchange, anything else it's pointless cause if you were to pay for "tool" or whatever, how do you assume MM will know whether it worked for you or you're just trying to exploit seller for free money? Who even wants to be involved in shit like that? You were very vague on why you were declined MM, I'm 100% certain it's for some bullshit not a single sane person would use MM for therefore you're salty now. Or a MM who isn't from the site that you don't know at all? exactly their is other factors why i can see why people wouldnt want MM's what do you do if the MM scams both of yall?
One reason besides trying to scam would be trying to avoid paying fees. If the buyer is willing to pay the fees than he might be trying to scam.
Other than that, there's plenty of free middleman services, so most likely a scam.
Always PM/Convo me before attempting to communicate with me off-site.
Enjoy your day. Ok, for a $5 deal I wouldn’t use a MM. But for a deal for e.g. $300 a mm will the better way. And yes, I will prefer a MM from this Site. (Aug 4, 2020 11:04 AM)Lil Wolf Wrote: You'd use a MM for $5? For some people $5 is also worth and for MM both the party must be agree to choose a particular person as a MM. I think every seller is entitled to HOW they prefer to do business regardless. Some deals require you to purchase stuffs in order to get started on a job. Others are so so petty, you just goto ask yourself, why tf would you require an mm? Take for instance a deal worth of $50. I mean, isn't the contract system reliable enough to hold that in terms of proof(in case of a deal gone bad)?? My point being, to conclude that s/he is a scammer isn't always true. Check out some sales thread t.o.s and you would flip. I don't think the contract system actually does anything in the event of a scam, it's more of a name and shame if anything. So many scammers that have tons of disputes with undisputable evdience and yet to be banned. Like others said middlemen can also scam, it's all about being willing to lose whatever you're exchanging and making sure you do the right things to have the exchange be secure and safe. I didn't conclude that if they don't want a middleman doesn't make them a scammer :/ (Aug 4, 2020 11:03 AM)Lil Wolf Wrote: Imagine a MM for a $5 deal though is it worth it? or i see it alot where they bring some offsite mm um noo thanks i wanna use a reputable hf member if we do use a MM like i said though most deals i rather take my chances i get hit out of $250 yesterday but cause of my own ignorance. Yeah that’s what I was saying is I don’t do big enough deals to require MMs. For 5-100$ it ain’t worth it (Aug 4, 2020 11:13 AM)Demize Wrote: Yeah that’s what I was saying is I don’t do big enough deals to require MMs. For 5-100$ it ain’t worth it Yes for small deals a MM isn’t needed. $5-$100. Please don’t misunderstand me. I talk about $500 or more... And I am not in the opinion, that all members who doesn’t wanna have a MM for bigger transactions are all scammers... It really depends on the circumstances. If you're doing a CE deal and you aren't sure, someone refusing to do a MM is a bad sign. For anything else, it's not black and white.

For most currency exchanges using a MM makes sense, especially when dealing with larger amounts, but for the rest it really does depend on the things being traded and the circumstances over all. But i'd always be sceptical if somebody is refusing to use a known MM like Kill Joy, Lavish or me :D. Best regards, Vox |
