I have taken a job at a fast food joint alongside studies due to covid, but Im really not happy at my workplace. I want to quit, but it's tolerable to quit a job less than a month after being hired.
I will give it 3-4 months until i leave, is that reasonable?
Honestly depends if you need that money badly, a toxic environment at work will make you feel bad, work bad, and more in the long term. I'd say quit asap.

Definitely reasonable. Just give them notice before you leave. You might hate the workplace but that doesnt mean you cant leave on good terms. 😁
If you're like "fugg no, this ain't me", then quit right away.
There's tons of jobs out there.
If you're like ... "Meh", I'd suggest giving it a couple of shifts first.

I hear you and I would like to. But I want to quit on good terms with my boss which is why I will stay and later come up with some lie why I can't continue working there.

You could literally just say "This job isn't me - I'm quitting, sorry for the hassle."

What you should do is getting used to job hopping.
Just because you found a job doesn't mean you'll be happy with it like your situation.
What I do which doesn't matter how long you held your previous job.
Step 1. Find a job
Step 2. Make relations at said job
Step 3. Evaluate the job to see if it's making me happy/enough money.
Step 4. If one of the above isn't true start looking for a new job with higher salery or what I'd like to see in this business.
Step 5. Get a few interviews and see if the job looks more valuable to me than my current.
Step 6. If the new job is serious about hiring you, and you like it put in 2 weeks at your new job or just quit outright. (depending on if you're management was even respectable enough for your 2 weeks notice) let your new employer know and give your old boss the news.
This is also how you break out of a decent job and start making a better opportunity for yourself. Same rules.
EG. I been at a company I love but they haven't given me a raise or I don't feel like I'm going to leave this position (Not getting promoted) I'll use these same steps.
I have former employers sad to see me go but proud to see me actually striving for more and understand that I'm not sticking around for the scraps. I'm still great friends with a few and they always put in a good word for me as references. Met a lot of valuable people along the way. This is how you break ground in the employment world.
Given you're a hardworking employee ^^
Here's some fucking jams for when you find that better opportunity.
Imagine going to 5 interviews being hired to 3 of them then telling 2 to eat shit the first week and work with the best option.
This is more normal than you expect. You're overthinking employment. It's a game meant to be played.
Go fill out an application at a staffing agency im sure you can find a better job within the week and quit. if I didn't like the vibe of a job I just left

How bad do you want the money? If it's vital then I'd say around 1-3 months but if you don't need the money, just leave after the first shift.

Not really a fan of staffing agencies just because they'll put you in a similiar spot. Yes, you'll find a job but that most likely won't fix the issue.
