VPS requirements for IP Scanning

Hi HF

Here is a noob question.
Say I want to scan hundred of thousands, if not a few million ip addreses/ip-Ranges
Then what kind of specs on the computer does the speed of this process depend on.
I mean is it COU, GPU, RAM or how does it work?

Any help is appreciated

Thanks - snd sorry for the spelling, wrote from phone

You can use a local computer with a VPN and then once you have enough of them scan from the servers
CPU and Network Speed are the most important factors for port scanning. Configuring your port scanner well is considerably more important than your VM's specifications though.

And when it comes to bruteforcing, it is purely RAM / CPU is that correct?

Yeah - it will mainly be CPU though.
