Bit of clickbait title as the scam happened in 2013 and i put the USD value of today, but i got you to click.
I read about it couple months ago, but I stumbled on the content again, so i thought I would share it here in case some don't know about it.
Apparently in 2013, the OG owner of SilkRoad was scammed by 1 person in a massive scam where that 1 person used multiple account to act like a Seller who's a scammer, a MiddleMan that got scammed and want his money, and a Drug supplier who's also a Hitman and is the one the MM owes money to, and created a whole story to scam the owner for a total of 7225 BTC (valued at 97,808,437.50 at the moment of posting this thread )

He probably tried to "wash" the money really quick or spend it quickly and cashout. But the funds themselves are still around. If you keep following the funds to each addy it was sent to till now, there are some as recent as last month i think.

Even if you buy like 1000 verified exchange accounts and just slowly tumble a set amount of BTC to that account and then convert it to another crypto and do a lot of other shit, some sad cunt is gonna sit there and hunt you down cuz u stole their coke money 🤣 or a fed, either way its gonna be stressful for this lad to do

I remember seeing an article saying that some feds got arrested for trying to steal some of the BTC they seized.

No but I imagine these addresses are being heavily monitored, so whatever the owner tries to do will be under heavy surveillance and probably a large risk for it lmao.
