If you think you can hide your device(s) from the feds... You cannot... *New Methods*

So i dont know if anyone cares. But i feel this is pretty interesting... I mean i've done my share of illegal drugs and hid them.. WE all know how that goes sometimes.. Well it seems people hid their electronics when they have time if its ar aid or not.. Seems logical to me.. Especially with electronics.. I mean no way they can check every inch of a house.. Especially big ones.. So now apparently they have electronic sniffing dogs.. dogs can find anything with digital storage by training them to recognize the scent of TPPO, a chemical that coats memory chips to protect them from overheating.. Pretty crazy.. Thats how they in fact caught Jared Fogle... Of course this is a heinous crime of his compared to other computer crimes etc
Can you post the source to where you found this?

Seems bullshit.
If all your drives and modern devices (besides Android) are full disk encrypted with a strong password than it does not even matter. Got several phones seized and they still have not come into them and they were crying for the passcode which you should never give. There is many ways to make your phone less incriminating like hiding the content in your push notification and best thing to do is to block the SIM inside the phone by reporting it stolen so the phone has no internet connection and change the settings so when the phone is locked you cannot turn on Bluetooth, WiFi, etc.
The method is not new... at least give the original source if you're going to directly copy and paste something from an article which was posted back in 2018.

A great method here. Thanks so much for sharing.

Oh yeah... Electronic sniffing dogs, that sounds about right.
I mean why to bother with frequency scanning or using technology to find technology... send in the electronic sniffing dogs hahaha

I mean wow! This really made my day.
What next the new traffic speed guns are trained pigeons with radar helmets.

Hiding your electronics is stupid anyway. If the law is going to really care about you that much, your encryption should be set up to use keyfiles on an external device and keep it out of the house. That way there's no password for you to remember or give them.
aint my sig design skills sick?
In my country, to trick the sniffing dogs, people who do illegal things put the red chili powder. I don't know how much that works with electronic things.

True if you got android you are screwed.. But i hear so much conflicting information on iphone security.. I see articles saying even local police can get into complex password protected iphones.. And then another article about how not even FBI/NSA can get past default iphone security setup .. So idk tbh..

Fairly recent.. i mean 2 years old.. As in this is pretty new method.. 2 years not that old.. Im not saying this is trending topic breaking news.. They probably dont wanna advertise too much.. And why so damn harsh? Yea i did copy paste two sentence's from a article highlighting important part to save time  for readers and get my point across.. You act like im trying to hide it or steal? I mean jeez its a damn forum post you act like im making millions of this little 2 sentence copy paste loool..

Bro you trying to sound smart? And you said "frequency scanning" on device(s) that dont even put out a frequency? I thought you were joking at first but then you cracked another joke at end trying to be a smart azz.. A standard USB does not put out a frequency wtf? Those frequency scanner things you are talking about are for picking up bugs and camera's that are putting out some sort of signal to record silly... A frequency scanner is worthless to find a hidden drive of any type.... And without dogs sniffing this out. You tell me how you would find a quarter inch usb hidden in a 8000 square foot mansion? Or hell your average sized apartment ...

Hahaha so dogs sniffing thermal paste on cpu will find a hard drive. Lol... Mate seriously get a tin foil hat.

Anyone hiding a hard rive is a petty thief or a bad drug dealer, infact not a dealer a petty runner boy

bro that's old tech. They now use frequency devices that scan for items. It can find any eletronic device hidden away in anything even if you put it in the walls. those dogs you speak off they used them at airports to avoid terrorist to hijack a plane remotely using an electronic device.

It's true. Early this year I gave a presentation to a multi-agency high technology task force on locating and retrieving hidden electronic devices. I also got to sit in on and observe various other presentations and trainings. Electronic sniffing dogs are real and rather efficient. Numerous other scary ways they can locate devices as well.
