Hashcat doesn't use my GPU on Windows

Hey guys,

Looking for some help if someone is able to give me answers :)

I'm trying to use hashcat on my Windows machine with my RTX 2080, however it seems that my GPU isn't used by hashcat.

I ran multiple commands, such as --force, etc ... However the hashrate is veryyyyy low (200h/s for bcrypt).

My drivers are up to date, but maybe I need to install something else ? I heard many times about CUDA SDK Toolkit, is it important ?

Thanks for your help 🙃

You need to install CUDA yes otherwise it doesn't load your drivers
Do you see you gpu in hashcat? Is it loaded in the beginning?

From hashcat FAQs.
https://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=fre..._found_why

Quote:Development tools like CUDA-SDK or AMD-APP-SDK conflict with the drivers. Do not install them unless you know what you are doing!

Don't install anything aside from Hashcat and the latest Nvidia drivers.

An actual output from Hashcat would allow others to identify your problem.
