With a tool called mkp224o it is possible to generate custom .onion domains
You can get the tool from github with the following command
To build the program, download some requirements before
Then run the following to autmatically generate a configuration script
Then use the newly created configure script
To finish the whole setup process, compile it (run this command within the folder)
When all the steps above have been successful, you can use the command like this, in order to generate a custom .onion
X in this case stands for everything you would want your domain to start with
It should be clear that the longer the string is, the harder it will be to generate
A rough estimation of the time it takes for x characters to generate I found online:
You see, anything more than 8 characters is close to impossible with a regular computer
Still, I find this to be pretty awesome thing and thought I might share it!
