BNB has been doing really well. And that is reasonable.
With BSC we can use again DEFI for small trades. Did some transactions and was really impressed with both low fees and quick transactions.
Lots of projects are popping. Pancake hit almost half a billion MARKET CAP.
IMO it is a matter of time we see BNB in top 5.
The real question is, can it reach ETH's market cap in the future?
IMO it is reasonable to see it hitting half of ETH's MARKET CAP in a year.
Opening this thread for discussion around BNB and BSC.

These may be good projects but their market cap is too big for the moment. Noticed that they are aslo super-shilled right now.
Target hit. Sooner than expected.

Yes it can and it will. I’m holding heavy for over 2 years and I bought more throughout the pandemic.

Congrats for hitting your target today!
BSC is seeing a lot of activity due to ETH network fees. BNB is doing really well, wish I had accumulated more. Have been using $CAKE as well, which is the Uniswap clone on the BSC chain.

LMAO, where all ETH supporters ? What happen ? Even ETH running into BSC network with 2.0 haha. Also like Ace's said, use pancakeswap for transactions its basically BSC network for swapping coins fee are pretty cheap and instant confirmation.

Unlike btc maximalists. I personally support innovation and a collaborative ecosystem.
Considering the power of Binance in crypto I feel 2021 is gonna be BNB's year. Essentially, while Dapps are getting more and more popular Binance is influencing them through its exchange and CMC.
This can make BSC vastly used.
Considering also that ETH fees will remain high for many more months and maybe the whole year, BSC is gonna get much more popular.
I feel like BNB is about to grab the 3rd spot soon. It's established and mature compared to both Cardano and Polkadot.

That's so true. I always though DEFI is shit due to the high fees.I couldn't find its usefulness.
BSC is changing that right now. I CAKE competing with SUSHI in market cap soon. Already competing in volume.
As for the BSC competitors, most projects are too new and have limited DAPPs as of now.

There are a few issues with the BSC. The main one being that it's not really "De"fi. It's centralised and is referred to as "Ce"Defi. I understand the 21 validator nodes run by Binance?
CZ was intending to make a centralised and decentralised connection to make things more easy for users during a transition period from CeFi to DeFi. I think this is just Binance trying to capitalise on an opportnity.
What this means is that the BSC's functionality is effectively how Ethereum should be operating and I love it for that reason but it will never EVER be decentralised and I don't think it's even intended to be from the outset.
Here's a really good explanation on what in the fugg is happening - https://medium.com/@Austerity_Sucks/note...47f8918345
I urge everyone to read it to get a basic understanding of this "CeDefi" bullshit.
I agree that the functionality, mainly non existent fees, has huge potential in the "current" market environment where everyone is chasing yields and "Defi" and want to be a part of an ever growing space.
Another point I'd highlight is that BNB has HUGE potential given the current barriers of entry to using the CeDefi on BSC. The Binance Chain wallet is dogshit and simply not use-able at all. Setting up MetaMask for BSC support takes a while. It's not quite user friendly yet but look at the amount of growth even with those constraints. It's wild.
I think BNB does have it's drawbacks as Binance holds a lot of the supply (unless this has changed since the last time I looked it up) and their employees are paid in BNB. It doesn't seem like any dumping is going on, but the mere fact that they could dump it into the market means something.
Just my take on the BSC. Pros and cons but definitely an opportunity you can capitalise on. Not sure if healthy for the space at all though.

Your thoughts are correct and you are right about BSC being partially decentralized.
That's not an issue when considering it as an investment though.
Bear in mind XRP. It is popular for being a centralized crypto but it is still one of the biggest projects.
IMO, it is a far better investment that XRP and maybe most of the centralized cryptos though.
Binance has been the biggest exchange for much time. It is indeed established in the crypto world.
Additionally, BNB has real utility. Both as part a BSC as well as the utility token of the exchange.
As for its past, Binance has not been subjected to any shady actions compared to other projects.
Mentioning this because I 've no idea of the amount of BNB that it holds. This makes me believe that it won't suddenly dump large amounts of BNB in the future though.
Don't forget about CMC BTW. It is easy to push projects through it.
As I see it, promotion plays a major role in the success of project.

Interesting stats. Not sure why SUSHI has such a big market CAP.
Anyway, BSC is getting bigger more popular every day.

https://twitter.com/PancakeSwap/status/1...6412515328
That makes CAKE really bullish. CAKE deserves a greater market CAP.
CAKE and BNB should climb more soon.
Personally, holding both of them.

CAKE is 45% up and BNB another 20%
There is still room for growth comparing it to ETH network and ETH DeFi.
We may see PanacakeSwap surpassing Uniswap in volume soon and becoming the biggest DEX.
