AFAIK corporates have a special gas card which allows them to subsidise the price for their employees.

I think he means gas rewards. Some retailers give rewards/points on money spent which count towards discounted gas, sometimes by a lot.

I don't know where you're from but in Sweden we have some gas stations that give discounts from time to time if you sign up with your card. Sometimes there's contests which gets you free gas too and I won 50 litres once (about 13 gallons).

Yeah, I remember filling up at under two cents per gallon. They were basically racking up referrals using Shell's Fuel Rewards program, and then selling the accounts. I actually still have some pics.

There are gas stations you can go to in order to get like 20c off, I think some Sams club have discount gas too. Usually have to wait in line for a few minutes but it's worth it.

Idk where you live, but at Kroger stores with a membership card, every $10 spent there is a cent off gas, and I think you can build it up for up to 2 months. It adds up when you have 3 dif families using the same phone number at the gas station. I think the most I got off gas was 70c once.

Sams/Costco usually has the cheapest gas. Pair it with a rewards card.

60 cents a gallon? They probably had some sort of reward credit already that was being applied.

If you use the 7-11 app you can get 11cents off a gallon without any sort of application process.
