PlanB's models have been quite accurate in predicting the BTC price so far. I like his S2F model.
Personally, I think we'll surpass the $100k mark for sure this year.
On-chain analysts are seeing more and more positive signs of people HODLing the shit out of BTC. The total amount of users of Bitcoin is expected to surpass 1 billion within the next 5 years.
Some say that the invention of Bitcoin is even more exciting than the invention of the internet. BTC is the best store of value to date. The potential market cap is in the hundreds of trillions.
What are y'all expecting to happen this year? 😛
100k is absolutely crazy... To imagine I bought a pizza for 18btc once...😱

Invention of bitcoin more exciting than the invention of the internet? Lol ok let's take it easy there

Yeah, I don't agree with that statement either - without the internet there wouldn't likely be any Bitcoin - or at least, not as big as it is today.
However, it's definitely one of the best inventions since the internet.
Potential is in the millions of dollars per coin. A high % of the world's weight is kept in assets intended to be a store of value. Even stocks.
There aren't many reasons why BTC won't suck up a high % of that.
Ah fuck OP you just made me drop $225 on this.
Now I'm gonna have to invest biweekly too. Ugh

https://twitter.com/michael_saylor -> scroll down, watch some of his podcasts on Bitcoin. They're so amazing and he talks truth.
Saylor has been the biggest eye-opener for me thus far. Many people think they get BTC, but they don't really get it. There's ALWAYS more to learn.

I really can't wait to see what the future holds. I bought on coinbase, so im hoping I can move those BTC to a wallet should the need arise.
My goodness. I mean the only potential loss to BTC at this point would be global internet failure, like how would we access eachothers wallets to trade this currency at that point? I need to look into how to store BTC in multiple ways so that I don't end up like some of these people with one bad day and no longer able to access their hard drives.
But anyway, even if we did have global internet failure it we would end up trading bullets gas and food anyway, so it's not like money would really mean anything anymore anyway.

Exactly. If the global internet went out for good some way or another, we likely won't be alive for long anyway. I think BTC is set to overtake the gold market soon. Things will go faster and faster.

That's the one thing I can't support though. Gold has been around FOREVER. Like, before humanity. The earliest signs of humanity use gold as a form of wealth, thus we can derive that it has characteristics desirable outright. You can make physical items with it, unlike Bitcoin. Gold has inherent value in its elemental form, as well as visually and artistically.
That's one of the few things making me hesitant to go all-in on my entire account balance rn.

It's irrelevant. Bitcoin is a million times faster than gold, there's 0% inflation (gold has 2-3% yearly), it costs much less to transport, ...
Why does it matter that we can "touch" gold and that it has existed for a long time? Gold was the best humanity had until Bitcoin came around.
The whole world is being digitalized. The future generations would rather own 1 Bitcoin than 1 ounce of gold.
A lot of people (perhaps MOST) who own GOLD as an investment, don't even HAVE it. They own a piece of paper saying they own X amount of gold.
A dollar bill's intrinsic value is basically nothing.. yet it's still worth a dollar. Michael Saylor goes much more in-depth in this, I would highly recommend to watch his podcasts - they'll blow your mind.

I can see your point, but as I grow older and find myself with more disposable income, gold is something that does look shiny and nice and makes me want to have an abundance of. I would enjoy the sights of waking up to golden decor more than my account balance or something like that.
The fact that you can make your own money with a computer passively by mining is a radical, and awesome idea.
Definitely looking to invest soon. There are a lot of different uses for crypto, and I don't think it's going away anytime soon. It's been around for 10+ years, and up in the long term. More companies accepting it as a payment option is also good sign. Being accepted by the majority is still somewhat questionable, but largely possible.
Though I wonder if BTC will still be in favor in 40-50 years when all of it's been mined.

I think more than ever. Supply decreases, prices will rise.

Gold price "inflates" because the dollar inflates.
all in all it really has 0 inflation or deflation of value.
I post all my trades and alpha on Twitter. @SlayerXBT

You misunderstood. 2-3% more gold is mined/found yearly. Not its FIAT value. BTC = 0%
There are literal rocks floating around in our galaxy with unbelievable amounts of gold.
