Hello and thanks for this contest!

Seeing as the rules of the story are kind of vague, I will share a story of how I met my girlfriend of 6 years.

So that was six years ago.
I was kind of looking for new friends, so one night I decided to add a whole bunch of people on Facebook.
And I added this girl who, judging by the color of her hair, had the same interest as me.
So we met once, talked a bit and it was fun, we were friends in good standing.
A few weeks go by and I was biking across town with a good friend of mine to pick up some weed from a dealer (I was 15 at the time)
So while me and my good friend were heading towards the dealers, my phone was running low it was at 5% or something.
Out of nowhere I feel my phone vibrate, it was a text from the new female friend I made a few weeks ago.
She invited me to hang out with her and her boyfriend, and after asking my good friend if he was up for it, he agreed.
So we biked from the train station all the way back to my neighborhood to meet up with her and her boyfriend.
When I arrived, it was a bit cold, the kind of weather you'd put on a coat for.
And there she was, this beautiful, shy girl shivering from the cold.
My friend had this JBL box, so he put on some music at 11:30 that night.
I vividly remember the song we were listening to was "Legend" by Drake.
After a few minutes, I decided to offer my coat to this mystery girl.
I asked her, "Do you want my coat?" and she said no.
I didn't give up, so I just removed all the stuff I had in the pockets of my coat (the grinder, weed, and rolling gear) and just swung my coat around her.
Some time passed, we were just casually talking and listening to music when I suggested we find a place where it was less windy.
So by this time it's 01:00 in the morning and she still has my coat wrapped around her.
We were sitting in some kind of secluded parking lot chilling with the music and good vibes.
So I started rolling a joint, she mentioned that it was the first time she saw weed and the process of rolling a joint.
After smoking the joint with my best friend, he had to leave and so the music went with him.
I also remember my parents being gone that week, so I got lots of messages to come home because my grandma didn't like me being out that late.
I ignored the messages because I really didn't want it to end so soon, so we talked a lot.
At that time I asked her what music she liked to listen to and she liked Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Since it was getting late for us teenagers, they walked home with me still wearing my coat as a cape.
It was now 2:30am and they took me home, and I received a few messages from her friend within about 15 minutes after I laid down in bed after that amazing night.
"She really likes you, I think she's into you," I remember gushing like it was yesterday.
I immediately replied, "Can you give me her number?"
So I got her number, and we started texting for days.
Two weeks go by, and I wanted to meet up with her alone, so I suggested we meet at the same place I met her.
We set a day and time, and I showed up and waited.
Sadly, I waited in vain, so I got on my bike and started looking for her, asking all the familiar faces where she might be.
I hadn't found her that day, but the next day I sent her a message saying it was okay and that I understood she might have gotten scared.
A week later, it was a Friday if I'm not mistaken, and I sent her a message asking if she wanted to come to my house because my parents weren't home.
She showed up at my door, we were sitting in my backyard on the living room couch, and I very hesitantly kissed her on the cheek, I could tell she didn't mind.
So we went inside, I got a kiss on the lips while we made small talk.
That's when I asked her like a little boy, "Will you be my girlfriend?" and thank god she said yes.
 
I could write 5000 more characters further, but this is literally the story of how I've met my soulmate and partner for life.

I just want to share my story when I got sick last month.

It's been a hard and tough month for me this past June.
I have been hit by Dengue virus and being hospitalized for more than a week.
June 2 I feel cold and it seems I am having a slight fever so I take a medicine pill for fever.
Next day morning I feel good but when the night comes I got a fever again. I feel weird that the fever comes and go for 3 days so I decided to go to the hospital and have myself a check-up.
That Doctor ask me to take some lab test and it comes out that my platelet counts are too low so the Doctor ask me again to do the Dengue Duo lab test and they found out that I am positive to Dengue virus...my 2nd time to catch up the virus. I am not aware of the first one but I have managed to overcome it.
Dengue virus still got no cure as of this moment of time and the 2nd time around you catch this virus is much more dangerous and can be a real life threatening.
Usually you only have to deal on your high fever and must take lots of fluids and water to avoid the dehyration.
June 5 I have been admitted to the hospital and all they've given me is medicine for my fever and put dextrose on me.
I got high fever every now and then specially at midnight and chills are all over my body. It's been a tough battle and really a bad experienced.
The past days I am at the hospital I am thinking of my 2 kids and my wife who is taking care of everything at home. I know she's been really tired of everything but really can't do about it...all I have in my mind is to get myself back on track and hoping that the fever will be gone pretty soon.
The Nurse is taking a syringe of blood out of me 2x a day (morning and afternoon) throughout my stay at the hospital to check on my platelet counts. After 10 days of battling against the Dengue virus finally no fever but I feel so weak.
A day past of no more fever and platelet counts are pretty good, I ask my Doctor If I can go home for I really miss my 2 kids and my wife but he still wants me to stay for another day.
The last day spent on the hospital is kinda weird for I find myself hardly to talk much and I got tired easily but I didn't show it to my Doctor for I do really want to go home already.
Finally the Doctor told me I can go home but I would be back after a week for follow-up check up. When I get home I know I am still weak and needs to get a tons of sleep and rest for the days I got fever I really can't sleep and most of the times I got some hallucinations.
A week of doing nothing much at home makes me feel uncomfortable and still gets tired easily. The day of my check up the Doctor ask me for another lab test and it shows that my Triglycerides are too high that my blood runs not smoothly and my liver have some problem as well that's why I am still feeling weak.
For now I am taking 4 medicines that should be taken for 2 months and after 2 weeks (one more week to go) I need to go for another lab test to check if those problems on my lab test are going down.
Hoping for the best and this is my rough and tough June days of battling against the Dengue virus, hoping for a better month of July.

An old man was living in the village with his neighbors. He was one of the most unfortunate and sad people in the world. Every single neighbor was tired of him because he always was in a bad mood, he constantly complained about everything.

The longer he lived, the more grumpy and angry he got. People avoided him, because all his bad luck in life became more and more contagious to others around him. It was even unnatural and insulting to be happy next to him.
He was so grumpy and mad that he created the feeling of unhappiness in others.

But one day, when he turned 80 years old, something incredible happened. Instantly everyone started hearing the rumour:

“An Old Man is happy today, he doesn’t complain about anything, smiles, and even his face is freshened up.”

So the whole village and all the neighbors gathered together, and then asked the old grumpy man:

Villager: What happened to you?

“Nothing special. Eighty years I’ve been chasing happiness, and it was useless. And then I decided to live without happiness and just enjoy life. That’s why I’m happy now.”

Moral of the story:
Don’t chase happiness. Enjoy your life.

At around 1 am he asks if this girl can come over (he REALLY wants to get with this girl, and I don't want to turn him down so I reluctantly agree, on the condition that she's quiet.) The three of us are hanging out and I make some excuse to leave the room so my friend can have some alone time with this girl. I'm upstairs in my room when I start hearing loud moans. This is bad news for me, but great news for my friend, he's losing his virginity to a girl he really likes. I hear stirring in the next room and I know that their bout of loud lovemaking has woken my parents. The last thing I want is for my confused father to walk in on my friend fucking this girl in my basement. What do I do? I go to pornhub, click on the first video I see, crank that shit to 100 on my speakers and let it play for the ~three minutes that my buddy ended up lasting. My dad ended up coming into my room, discovering the source of the noise (I even threw in some fapping motion under the covers) and awkwardly leaving. My buddy ended up having "the best fucking time ever bro" but jesus there were some awkward glances exchanged between my parents and I the next morning.
