CashApp, Zelle, Venmo, they all require a direct verification of your true information.
Why is that bad?
CashApp isn't backed by any sort of insurance reliability. Their support is ignorant as heck. They claim that their cash card can be used anywhere but to get it you need to provide a social security number.
Venmo is Paypal and that's just, well, it's Paypal, I don't need to say more.
Zelle would be fine if they would add the ability to show a display name instead of the name on your banking account.
Does anyone know of a payment processor app that can be used to accept payments but does NOT reveal the real name but instead allows for payment to a nickname or 'display name'?
Venmo did allow for a display name but with their recent updates they now require 100% verification to use their services, which, imo, no longer makes it secure and private and p2p.
For reference, the display name would essentially be showing a business name instead of a personal name.
Zelle reportedly is supposed to be able to do this but the app is so broken that it doesn't even let you get through setup nowadays without redirecting you to a banking app.
If anyone knows of a reliable and secure app that can do this, or how to do this with Zelle or Venmo while staying secure, as in, NOT providing your soc sec #, then your input is appreciated.
Just use Monero + some kind of Dex to convert it to BTC and get your money.

Can you possibly expand on that for me?
Is monero something an everyday average joe can sign up for an submit payment through like a Venmo?
No idea of what Dex means.
And the issue with btc is ultimately still that I'd have to go through CoinBase to get my funds out and now with them being 100% gov't backed, it has all of the taxation issues.
I don't mind the tax if needed but still trying to have individuals pay the "business name" is the key factor.

I think I misunderstood your intent and what you wanted, but I don't think it's possible if you just want to hide your identity and maybe even avoid tax. I guess it's still possible but it's not gonna be as fun to do, maybe just even transferring your crypto to a non-exchange wallet would be good enough, I'd reckon? but sadly I'm not from the US so I haven't tried out Venmo or Cashapp yet.
Dex means decentralized exchange, and Monero is a decentralized cryptocurrency that specializes in anonymity. I was originally thinking of maybe use your crypto from something like Coinbase, transfer it there, and convert it to Monero if you're worried about anonymity.
Good luck OP.

Appreciate your input.
It's honestly not a request to stay totally anonymous like as if there's something bad occurring.
It's only a matter of a display name or business name showing instead of a personal name.
Something like "Goalie Coach" would help a business rather than the personal name when a customer/client pays.

It sounds like you're maybe wanting to have an account/registration with a payment processor for your business itself instead of you personally, yes? Is that what this is about?
Edit: Also, there's this: https://support.getdpd.com/hc/en-us/arti...l-checkout

Paypal is a different story all together.
They should, however, be relatively simple to show a business name.
The other processors like Zelle don't seem to have that same ability.
CashApp is somewhat better in that way but they're not insured so when you lose your money or are scammed, you're f'd.

That's what I provided, was a link to a guide on how to show your business name on a PayPal account. Honestly I don't know what exactly you want, do you want to be anonymous to the payment processor? Or do you just want to be anonymous to whoever you're dealing with through the payment processor?
Overall, the only "payment processing" you can do without having to verify your identity at all would have to be done through the use of cryptocurrencies. As for a traditional payment processor that provides you with anonymity - even from itself - well, that's a pipe dream. Without KYC (know your customer) there would be large amounts of people using a payment processor to cash out stolen credit cards and things like that. That's why Cash App requires a SSN, for example.
As for payment processors allowing you to accept payments without using your real name, you already named the main ones:
PayPal, Cash App, and I believe Venmo.
You are 100% not going to be able to find a legitimate payment processor that doesn't use KYC though.
Know Your Client
Quote:Understanding Know Your Client (KYC)
The Know Your Client (KYC) rule is an ethical requirement for those in the securities industry who are dealing with customers during the opening and maintaining of accounts. There are two rules which were implemented in July 2012 that cover this topic together: Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Rule 2090 (Know Your Customer) and FINRA Rule 2111 (Suitability). These rules are in place to protect both the broker-dealer and the customer and so that brokers and firms deal fairly with clients.
The Know Your Customer Rule 2090 essentially states that every broker-dealer should use reasonable effort when opening and maintaining client accounts. It is a requirement to know and keep records on the essential facts of each customer, as well as identify each person who has authority to act on the customer’s behalf.
The KYC rule is important at the beginning of a customer-broker relationship to establish the essential facts of each customer before any recommendations are made. The essential facts are those required to service the customer’s account effectively and to be aware of any special handling instructions for the account. Also, the broker-dealer needs to be familiar with each person who has the authority to act on behalf of the customer and needs to comply with all the laws, regulations, and rules of the securities industry.
The Bottom Line
Know Your Customer (KYC) are a set of standards and requirements investment and financial services companies use to verify the identity of their customers and any associated risks with the customer relationship. KYC also ensures investment advisors know detailed information about their clients' risk tolerance and financial position. The U.S. Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) prescribed rules financial institutions must follow when verifying the identity of customers and their beneficial owners, if any. They must verify the circumstances around the customer relationship, as well as monitor and report any suspicious or illegal activity. Focus is shifting to cryptocurrency markets as pressures to conform to KYC standards increase.
Hope some of that helps.
"well, that's a pipe dream."
with you 100%
CashApp's privacy policies are horrendous
Reviewing their entire terms is basically a review of, "we store your data, sell your data, share your data, and if you delete your data, we retain the information anyway for as long as we want so that we can sell and share it"
it's like facebook and google
scary stuff
and the "anonymity" is for the customer not the processor
reason: customers, friends, family. some people should know your name and others should know a display name
^ what doc said. certainly no legal operating service will provide that.
just because of international money laws. everything without your real name is definitely in the BH region, which i wouldnt touch if i was you.
but for crypto payments, there are certainly ways to get it anonymously.
just because i'm a jewish black trans midget with bbc :(

You can setup your own bitcoin/crypto gateway. Coinpayments might be something worth looking into, but they prob require some sort of real info.
SneakyBoots Discord or HF convo me.

are you meaning coding a gateway from scratch?
coinpayments requires verification after a certain income amount i think
gateways for crypto are good to use for general online business but less so for irl business where people use cash-type payments
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
You can't really be anonymous when using payment processor. Well, you "can" but we won't discuss this here since it's not allowed. I would definitely suggest you to stick on cryptocurrency if you need to be anonymous as possible.

i hope there isn't confusion lingering about being a bh'er here
it's about representation of one's business as opposed to companies storing and selling your information like your soc sec number and whatnot
