Easiest and Best Way To Mine Coins?

Hey guys,

I am wondering if anyone knows any good and super noob friendly miners out there?

Either a device by itself or using a secondary computer, without a good graphics card.

Is there something out there, which is just easy to set up and let it run?

Not looking to generate 10K a month, but anything will really do to begin with!

Nicehash is fool proof easy to setup for beginners. However, as a result they take a small cut.

Another vouch for NiceHash. You pay for convenience but their interface and setup are very easy to handle.

If you're looking to control your own hash and op then I used to run a couple rigs on CGMiner which is simple enough to use as long as you're comfortable with command line. It's also compatible with 99% of hardware anyone will try to mine on.

If you want a GUI then MultiMiner will do the job nicely.
Third for nicehash, super easy.

Beware their power use calculator is based on GPU power draw, not the whole system. This often leads to people feeling they're getting higher profit than the actual calculation.

Hey man, just started running Nicehash and can see that I am mining now! Great! But just to ask, what is ideal GPU temperature? Mine is hovering between 78 - 80 Celsius, is this good or?

That's a bit high but it's fine. Mine is around 67, or up to 75 if mining with both GPU and CPU with chassi closed.

Is it anything that will harm my computer? Right now I am just testing it and if it works out nicely, I plan to buy a smaller rig or laptop to just set aside and keep mining.

60-70C is generally the temperature you want while mining. Look up your specific GPU's temp range when it starts throttling, but some of them start within that 75-80 range like my old GTX 1070 Ti (iirc that one started throttling performance in the low 70s). I'd say 80C is really pushing it, some guys are comfortable leaving it there but if you have a way to bring it down to 60-70C you can rest easy knowing that you're at full performance.

Thank you for explaining this, it’s solid at 77 celcius now, but is there any way to bring it further down?

I have a fan that I can use, but more thinking from internal changes?

NiceHash has different mining "Profiles" that you can use, I think it's "Manual", "Lite", "Medium" and "High". Make sure it's on Lite and run it like that for a few days to begin with. Too high temperatures can cause damage to the internals but before anything bad happens the computer will shut itself off if it gets too hot.

Generally you want to be looking at your rig's ventilation if you have high temperatures. A fan will help nicely as long as there are multiple vents on your (tower I'm guessing?). If that doesn't work and you don't want to have to open your wallet for more expensive cooling systems right now, iirc there's a low power mode on the NiceHash interface that essentially adjusts the power consumption of your GPU.

Thanks bro, I will check it out! Is there any tips on how to reduce the temp in any other ways?

Also, is this just based on Graphics card and it’s fans or is there something else to consider? I’m just trying to learn! :)

You could download some extra cooling but it was a long time ago since I saw someone distribute it. Good luck man, mining is easy to get started with! :)

I put it on Lite version in terms of “Optimization” and temperature dropped immediately to 71 celcius and also, just added an additional fan! Thank you so much!

Appreciate it! Just turned it to Light and can see the temperature dropped to 64 degrees now, so it is running smooth from now!

Hello

You could look into gpu undervolting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9K4PSqxoYg
