One thing I like about HF is that despite the fact it's an anonymous, mostly male online community with a lot of nerdy (not using it as an insult) people that hasn't been hijacked by incels.
By incels, I mean the women-hating, crybaby types who have been the culprits of many awful tragedies worldwide in recent years. I'm not referring to normal people who have just yet to get laid, stay on the light side and you'll get there.
It seems like an anonymous board about "nerdy" subjects would attract them - so how has it been avoided?
My guess would be 2 reasons:
1) Veteran community members (many of whom are married or in long term relationships) shun any incel behaviour on the forum.
2) The staff team and Omni do not tolerate that kind of view and they have nothing in common with the views of incels so the "DNA" of the forum isn't conducive to it.
What do you think? And why do you think other communities, such as certain Reddit boards have become the breeding ground for incels?
I think you are correct I might also ad that we are a community that asks why instead of jumping on the this is unfair train.
So someone here gets rejected he'll most likely google and find books like "How to be a 3% Man" definitely a must read if you are struggling in the date department.
Which is something I doubt most incels would do.
It is easier to point fingers than to work on yourself.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
Don't get fooled. There's a lot of silent incels in here.
Despite most of us being nerds, most of the people here have personalities that don't seem to induce incelness.
Everyone here is trying to learn, better themselves, hack, make money, etc. Those aren't the behaviour of incels, they don't improve, they don't think there's any need to.
However, most people who come on HF to look to hack social media accounts are probably incels looking to hack their ex or some shit. 🤣

It is easier to point fingers than to work on yourself. Very true!
Personal accountability is the key to unlocking everything you want in life. I guarantee to anyone reading if you hit the gym for 6 months, honestly reflect on your own character flaws and how you can interact better with others, force yourself into more social situations, get some nice clothes, a good haircut, some nice aftershave and look after yourself well: showering daily, moisturise your face, sleep well, eat well - you will have no problem dating and your life will have significantly improved to the point where dating isn't even amongst your priorities.

Then I recommend any of them reading, read my above message and if their mind is still open, try these books:
- Models by Mark Manson
- The Way of Men by Jack Donovan
- And also The Laws of Human Nature by Robert Greene so you can work out your own character flaws and why people might avoid you.
I would suggest The Way of he Superior Man too but I feel like it could easily be misread by someone coming from it from the wrong angle.

I think the medium itself has a lot to do with that... Forums themselves inherently require a degree of social acceptance. There's just not much in the way of one-sided conversations here. Unlike Twitch chat, for example, where people can chat all day long without ever actually saying anything to anyone in particular.
And when you're forced into actually communicating with people, outliers are more readily dealt with.

Interesting point! I do think HF has a positive effect on people's sociability as whilst the norms here are different to general societies norms, they're close enough to improve the lives of many who come here with little to no social skills and acceptance.

This. The Innuendo section is damn awful once you read a few threads in a row.

Your previous comment about guys who have yet to get laid is the very definition of an Incel

Your previous comment about guys who have yet to get laid is the very definition of an Incel Except "incel" has come to mean something different to most people. It goes beyond people not getting laid, it's a culture and a social group. General understanding of words ≠ dictionary definition

Only chads buy ebooks on hackerman forums. Many reddit boards are heavily censored and just full of whiny cunts.

I thought Reddit cleaned house with most of those subs. On HF, the only thing that comes close to incel behavior are certain threads/posts in Innuendo.

They have thankfully but they continue to pop up. I remember reading through a couple of those subreddits a few years ago and was so put off by what I was reading from these guys. It is no wonder none of them can get laid. 4chan seems to also be a breeding ground for incels in general, I think that goes without saying though. I'm glad there's basically none of that here except for the Innuendo section as you said.
Don't get me started on this
Cause I know why I'm still virgin
And I make a whole website on it
I think this forum is very business orientated, it’s more like people trying to make money and do deals than talk about sensitive topics, I don’t know, you probably do get the odd one or two but it’s not really an issue on this forum
