You can't just go and find offsets you need to know assembly how to read it and how to decode a game dump.

A place to start would be Assault Cuber and cheat engine and work up to Cs:go after that then CoD is similar to CS;GO

You can start here to learn the basics. Then its up to you to look up guides and tutorials for more advanced cases. At that point its really up to your ability to create good google search parameters. Most modern games try to do some basic obscuring of common items you want to access as a cheat developer. Though sometimes you get lucky and they don't bother.

Reversing is a great way to sink time though, useful if you need to clear your mind of usual life shit. So if finding offsets isn't working as motivation, see reversing as meditation! Most people give up on reversing/game hacking because the effort > reward in most cases. If that's you, then there are plenty of forums where reversers post the offsets for you.
