Brave (BAT) partners with Solana (SOL)

https://brave.com/solana-partnership/

Thoughts? Especially considering putting your trust in the SOL team is questionable?

The cracks are already showing in Solana... You gotta be a quack to still be invested there.

1. Sol has already 'mooned', you're not going to 10x on Sol now, so profit chasers are looking elsewhere now.
2. We've already seen how weak of a platform Solana is, and how dodgy their team is. Nobody is in Sol for the tech at this point...

All that Sol has left is fan boys who regurgitate the same bullshit over and over hoping to protect their investment.

Yes, I agree. I think the only reason why Brave is partnering with them is, well, money; because they got an amazing deal that they will eventually use to make money off of (perhaps they got a lot of free SOL), all the while letting their users make use of the world's shittiest and most unreliable blockchain (next to shib, doge and all the other shitcoins. Scratch that, DOGE is way more reliable than SOL).

This sends me two simple messages:
  1. Brave doesn't care about its users and never has, and it only wants to make money and never cared about creating a useful browser with innovative technology

  2. ETH is outdated and not worthy of building applications on anymore considering the many disadvantages

So in a way, point number 2 is positive for newer and actually usable blockchain technologies, it's just a shame they (Brave) chose the easy way out of ETH..
Tezos, Elrond, two excellent contenders that would have been way better choices than SOL. I'm talking about pure technological advancements here.

I'm not even sure if I feel comfortable enough using Brave anymore at the moment seeing the choices they make revolve around money and not their user base. Brave is just another company now, just like Nestle, dressing people up like nurses in Africa so they could trick people into buying their products.. Brave.. The browser that makes shitty blockchain choices so they can make a quick buck betting on a losing tech stack, so you don't have to 🤣🤣.

Brendan Eich is probably smiling at you, putting a big fat cigar in his mouth and lighting it up with a 100 dollar bill.

I won't try to compare a platform like Sol with the likes of Doge, they're too different, I'll just mention that to the best of my memory, Doge hasn't turned their blockchain off for a day or massively deceived their ecosystem by covering up their true circulating supply.

If they're willing to lower their standards and integrate bad tech just for money, how far off are we from Brave making deals with advertisers, trackers, and other unsavory data collectors?

Both projects would have been far more suitable.

Back to hardened Firefox (not that I ever left 🤣)
I hated sol initially but after playing around with it, sol is literally the best crypto experience I've ever had. their NFT space is literally in baby form rn and it's gonna 10x easily or die in eth 2.0, either way im 100% in. haters will hate but if there's money to be made, I'm there.

Gemini has recently been added by the Brave team, after years and years of complaints about Uphold, but it's not so much about having a platform to collect your 'rewards', but the choices you make in that regard.

Honestly, if there's a team out there with a decent and capable browser, willing to compete with Brave and making the right choices: Now would be an excellent time!
