Has anyone tried cloud mining? I'm starting AWS mining soon, since I have $7k in free credits in my account and I've started multiple other accounts ranging from $2k-$25k.

I was wondering if anyone else is involved with cloud mining. How profitable is it for you? Are there any issues if you use your AWS account for mining?

You'll very likely get banned pretty fast. 
They have/had a massive problem with miners and by now have several measures in place to detect it quite fast. 

Wouldn't risk it if you need the account for other stuff as well.

Yes, that's what I read as well. However, I'd like to hear if anyone got banned for it.

That's what I'm thinking, if there's a temporary period before they detect you (let's say 2 weeks or so) it might be worth the effort, since I can mine with 1 GH/s and more to empty the account during that time.

In place of going for GPU, why dont you go for CPU Mining.
There are less chance of getting banned.

Looking at the tutorial it looks like you need GPU instances to be profitable.
If you just want to turn your credits into some money then I am sure it is still worth it.

GPU will be your best to make more money with cloud mining and like the user says above, it a cat and mouse race.

I was finally approved today for GPU instances, though it's on demand so the price is slightly higher, i.e. not profitable but comes close. It's still a very limited operation because so far I'm only mining in one zone with 4 gx instances and I'm close to 100 mh/s, plan to upgrade that soon to about 600+ mh/s for the total account (if I get approved in all 4 zones).

Just hope I don't get banned with $7k in credits lol it would be a shame.

EDIT: Submitted more requests. That would bring my total to over 1 GH/s if approved. I'll update with results soon. If this works I'll sell it on the marketplace along with how to get up to $25k in AWS credits (in my signature).

I've been mining for almost 3 weeks now without issues or getting banned. My earnings daily vary from $30-$50 but I'm trying to get it upgraded to $150/day (soon). If anyone has any questions about AWS mining feel free to hit me up!
