Dream job vs Well paid job

An easy question that shows a lot about people's personalities!

Your dream job with something like 1000$ salary, or some shitty job, but 10k$ salary?

I'd rather have the dream job and work my way up to increase salary :)
Both salaries will make me homeless being in the USA, so I guess the dream. I'll be trapping on the side forsure tho.

A dream job isn't a dream job if you have to pick between being homeless or picking up a second or third job just to eat.

I think I could live comfortably with 10k (weekly or monthly....) 1k is tough, it depends where you're living. I've worked shitty jobs for less money, but I've also worked good jobs for more money.🕵️
Pretty relevant....

Let's say it's weekly! That's not the point! I think you all know what I mean!

Don't focus on the numbers! It can be more. You just have to choose between a dream job, but you can just make a living with the salary or a much higher salary but shitty job .

You can have them both if you work at it!

Ah, I mean, yeah, you can, but if you had to choose?

A few years back I came exactly to this point! I wasn't sure which to choose for my future... i was in dilemma for about a month. All a long I think I knew I would pick the dream job even tho it will get me paid like 80% less than the job I was doing which was good but not my specialty and it wasn't that stable for the long term. So I picked the job that I always wanted since I was a kid. MY hobby became my work. Sometimes I really think about the other job and all the $$ I could earn for all this time but no! We are humans we have to do what we feel like. I'm not a money-driving machine. I sure love money but I'd rather struggle a bit and live the life than be comfy on my crib/comfort zone and buy everyone and everything with $.

a nice question you asked. I really needed to get this out of my chest. I often have this convo on my mind but today I'm sharing it with y'all.

Any dream job can go and become way more profitable than any shit job. You just need to know how to scale the business.

dream job all the way, fuck money its overrated AF

How would you even survive with 1k a month Salary? You would have to get a second job. I'd go for the 10k a month, and then save up and do something else, buy a business, invest or something.

In some places $1k/mo is a good salary...for where I am something like 1.2k is the minimum wage and that's not paying any rents or anything like that...and then on the other hand people in higher managing positions get a minimum of 5k/mo and that's actually a rather good salary...the "normal salary is 1.9-2.5k/mo.
For me tho, I wouldn't pick the dream job because of all the mental stress that all the other crap would cause wouldn't be worth it, the job only lasts 1/3 of the day and also only 5/7days every week so the majority of the time would be spent suffering.
I do however think that there has to be a balance, everyone can find a job that they like (not love) and get a decent salary out of it.

You'll soon realise the realities that sometimes its not just about your dream job. Sometimes you'll get that dream job and it'll be well paying, but there will be times you'll need to just do a job for a paycheck.
