so to start this off I'm just trying to get some things off my chest and thought i could just say this here
ive been gambling since i was 13, CSGO youtubers and no idea what money is actually worth led me to start it. £5 at a time nothing big/
my 18th birthday is where it really started i could finally legally gamble and didn't have to find clever ways to get around the kyc function. i deposited my whole savings (1.5k) and before i knew it i lost it all. obviously looking back this was a stupid thing to do but at that time i thought i could win, took out a loan to try and win it back and inevitably lost that too.
so now i have 600 in debt and -300 in the bank with 2 months left to pay it off, 400 monthly income and no idea how im going to pay it off.
just wanted to post this in case anyone wanted to start gambling without proper disposable income, use this as a warning please.

I hope you figure this out! If it helps feeling better i have lost many bitcoins in bustabit gambling site when 1 BTC was around 200$. Also lost a lot in CSGO roulette sites... but i have not gambled in years anymore because house always wins. Its much better to invest in crypto.

That sucks, I got into debt as well but for different reasons. Do you have a job? The amount you owe isn’t that much if you’re working full time.
Well it's not that much debt, surely you can run some uber eats for a little or doordash to get it paid off. I'm about $150,000 in debt so be thankful.

Lost a lot to gambling back in the days, havent really gambled anything above two digits for the past couple of years, it used to be thousands and more when i was younger, i follow the old saying "don’t risk what you can’t afford to lose"
Not sure if this helps the mentality any, but one thing I've always learned when it comes to finances: When you spend money, count it as GONE, you'll never see it again, it's DEAD money. The only ONLY time money is "alive" is if it's an investment that's ACTIVELY garnering a positive cash flow. Otherwise, remember that when you make big purchases. It's "OK" to make a big purchase when you've decided it's ok for that money to die before you've even spent it.
If you're buying online, I recommend you make an account at Privacy.com and set a monthly limit to it for like $50 and that's it. So long as you don't make more cards and don't use a real bank's actual debit card, that should add a "wall" of time that can possibly help you break out of your mental cycle of impulsivity. If you find that you're still circumventing that, then you're going to need an accountability partner who can step in and stop you before you make things worse for yourself.
Think critically and perhaps you'll be critically thought about.
Starting with small bets until it gets going and going and you will just notice you were on the addiction...hoping you already learned the lesson and the risk of gambling.
