I didn't think the outer shell or "the rind" was edible but I've always eaten the green inner shell that bit is yummy. But the last time I tried to get watermelon I ordered it from the online grocery store and it was rotten. But they did give me a refund through their chat bot and the process was sparingly easy. All done by bots because God forbid paying wages.
