Yo - is anyone intimately familiar with the Snapchat TOS? Looking for ways to monetize some large views. Would posting affiliate links be a bad idea or can some serious money be made that way? Would love any off the cuff ideas. Appreciate the help

It will be a very bad idea, I'm almost sure you will get locked your account instantly by automated system which checks links for affiliate links and they wont bother much its big views account or not, because smaller ones they locks instant for affiliate link in a story, even if its with redirect, like website www.123.com redirects automatically with php redirect in 5 seconds to AFFILIATE link account and you not attach directly affiliate link - you will get locked.
We tried to change link but it looks like they are reviewing and rechecking links every few hours or something, like if you put www.123.com empty page and after an hour put redirect on that page they will still lock your account.
SO I suggest not to fuck your acc :)

This way I think it will work :) But traffic amounts will be cut multiple times but this way it works.

but what can happen if its new/low followers IG account and suddenly it will get big traffic and a lot of followings and you will have linktree with afflink on it - IG can simple ban IG account ;) I had same problem I remember with sending traffic not to snap but to IG, that they were killing IG accounts which were getting incoming traffic too fast and suddenly + link in bio

this is very true, snapchat do use automated systems to crawl the links, there is also ways to work around them(it's still not risk free)

one way is having a blank lander that detects any interaction with the page before triggering the redirect to the offer pages(i've had some success with this)

there is also other unique ways to get the links out on snapchat itself(watermarked gifs for example)

You can use Cloakers in order to bypass the crawling bots for both IG and Snap

Looking at these replies makes me think it must have something to do with size of the account/verification. Chicks on snapchat post affiliate links for that teeth whitening service "purely white" to their story all the time. No problems for them.
